Check insurance eligibility within TheraNest
Allow for direct inquiry of a new patient's insurance eligibility. I can do this by logging in to Office Ally or the websites maintained by each insurance company, but it would be marvelous to have this capability built into Theranest.
If you submit claims through Apex, you can now verify coverage eligibility for new and existing clients. Click here to learn more.

Why are Social Security numbers needed? To verify benefits in BCBS of NC's system Blue E and Availity for nationwide Aetna, all they require is the policy ID number, name, and DOB. Aetna actually only requires the policy number and DOB. Claims submission don't require SS numbers. We don't collect this info as there's no need for it and who wants to be liable for the damage done by a data breach involving SS numbers? In my last job, I worked mainly with clients who had insurance but weren't even citizens but they didn't even has SS numbers. This is seriously a step back for Theranest. Clients can't even put their SS number in through the portal, so if we were to try and even get them, we'd have to start calling clients or have them say them outloud to us at check-in, which is inappropriate. Further, with group numbers, half of insurance cards anymore don't have them on there anymore. Claims go through Apex just fine without those either.

If this isn't Theranest's top priority it should be. Every competing software offers this.

This feature would eliminate a lot of time for administration staff. In-Sync has this feature that just seems amazing as they can check clients eligibility & benefits either one at a time or a whole batch for the day. We would also like to use this feature to confirm Medicaid clients eligibility as it can chance on a monthly basis.

Batch eligibility verification services currently exist at a high cost. It would be a huge advantage if TheraNest added this feature to their platform - at a reasonable cost - eliminating the need to outsource this service.
As stated in previous comments, verifying Medicaid eligibility/enrollment individually for all clients is beyond tedious and time-consuming. It would be great for there to be a feature to identify coverage fast to reduce the number of claims being denied on the back end due to inactive insurance or non-coverage.

This feature will add so much to my practice! I have to verify Medicaid before I can bill the state for services for every client EVERY month I have them on referral from the state!

There is no option on software to check eligibility. So I have to go to detailed reports and print daily schedule for all clinicians and then go in each ct acct, write down policy #, and search on insurance sites. If there was an option to have report print out with policy # to save time that would be great. It would make it easier and faster to verify insurance eligibility.
Thanks

This would be a huge help to have this within the system. I'm surprised this was asked back in 2014 and it hasn't been completed or more votes.
Please, please add this within TheraNest!

If they do, please let's hope they don't raise the subscription rate too much. It's already a huge expense to have this software as it is...Also, I was under the impression that switching to Apex would include that feature.
