  1. ERA search options

    It would be very helpful if there a was a way to search for an ERA payment by patient instead of going down the list by payment dates?

    When searching for payments sometimes I have to open many before I find what I am looking for. Have a search function within the ERA payments would be great.

    We have updated the Process Claim Payments (ERA) page for TheraNest users who have signed and agreed to the Terms and Services with Apex Clearinghouse. This update shows more information about your ERA payments and allows for increased accuracy with your ERA payment processing. This improvement also includes a customizable ERA grid that allows for dynamic searching within your ERAs.

    Hello! We are happy to announce the “Place of Service” field is now an option that can be included on statements. We plan to release “Units” in the near future. Thank you for voting and contributing to improve TheraNest!

  4. Filter claim tabs by rendering & billing provider

    When viewing the claim tabs under the Billing section, allow me to customize the grids to include the rendering and billing provider.

    If you use Apex or Change Healthcare as your clearinghouse, the Rendering Provider and Billing Provider can now be added to your customized grid for all claim tabs. 

  5. Add a custom note to invoices

    Add ability to save client-specific notes to invoices given to clients. This would benefit any providers/staff who need or want to include notes for a client (e.g. explanation of a write-off).

    We’ve added a new field, “Invoice Footnote,” to the General Information section on the Invoice page. This will allow you to add a personal, client-specific message to a client’s invoice as necessary. Any footnote saved to an invoice will be displayed on the printed PDF version of the invoice.

  6. Record additional payment methods from insurance companies

    We have insurance companies who pay us with a virtual credit card however I am not able to enter a credit card under the new "Insurance Payment" classification.

    Please add new payment type for insurance credit cards.

    We have released a number of new payment methods for insurance payments (like check, credit/debit card, and EFT/ACH). For now, you can record all outside payments received from insurance payers with more detail than was possible before.

  7. Make resubmit claim option clearer when marking Failed to Process

    Was there a change to the system regarding Submitted Claims? I can mark them as Failed to Process but there is no button now to Resubmit?? Please help

  8. Edit place of service code on invoice

    I would like to be able to change the place of service code on the invoice for billing without changing it on the progress note. For instance, the therapist has already completed his progress note and indicated that the place of service was 02 for telehealth. The payer, however, requires that the place of service be 11 for all services; therefore, I need to change it on the invoice, but not on the progress note. It would be great if I could simply change it on the invoice withoiut having to change it on the progress note. Right now, I…

  11. Bill inactive insurance if DOS was within payer effective dates

    Currently if the insurance is marked as inactive we are unable to bill the insurance even if the date of service was during the active period. then we have to go in and reneter all of the insurance info since we cannot reactivate the inactive plan. This defeats the purpose of entering an end date to the insurance. Also, we then have to remember to go back and mark the insurance as inactive after the session was billed.

    When submitting a claim or checking a claim for errors, a date of service check will be performed. The claim will be submitted to the appropriate payer based on the effective dates for that client’s payers. This additional check was added to help prevent denials. Check out our release notes for more information. 

  12. Enter place of service location in note

    When I sign my note the "Place of Service' is always blank. Would be great if it let me pick the location when I'm writing my note or creating the appointment.

  14. Bill by location NPI and Tax ID

    Allow me to bill using a different NPI and tax ID rather than the one that's set for my organization.

    You can now set fields at the Location level to override the Organization’s name, NPI, and tax ID when billing under a Group NPI. Learn More

    We released a new filter option to include superbill-level insurance details to the redesigned Batch Statements.

  16. Integrate claim status and tracking into TheraNest

    IT would be so nice if we could have claims status and tracking integrated into our EHR. I LOVE using TheraNest and this would be one more reason to love it! =)

  17. Don't require a social security number for eligibility checks

    Don't require a SSN for eligibility checks because we typically don't need it to check a client's eligibility and we have some clients who refuse to provide it.

  18. included co-insurance with billing and insurance info

    Include the option of setting percentage of co-insurance on client billing and insurance information since some clients do not have a flat $ copay.

  20. Retain previous selection of "Send a copy to myself" checkbox when emailing invoices/superbills to clients

    If I select the "Send a copy to myself" checkbox when I email invoices or superbills to clients, I don't want to check it every single time I try to email those documents.

    We’re excited to let you know this suggestion has been implemented! When you customize the grid in any report (including the client list) your selections will stick! No more having to reselect your preferences every time you navigate to that page! Please note that this is browser and device specific. Example: You made selections on a laptop. Those selections will not appear on your iPad. Selections will erase after clearing your browser cache as well.
