Require a completed progress note to submit claims
Allow me the option to require a signed progress note before a claim can be submitted.

Suggesting to add to the grid/filter on the Awaiting Submission page if the note/claim has a SIGNED note prior to submitting the claim. Or make it impossible to submit a claim without a signed note.
Thanks you for your consideration

Show automatically like they do on the Create/Process Invoice tabs, or as part of the customized grid on the Claims Awaiting Submission tab.

Provide information on the status of notes to the Claims Awaiting Submission tab. Either automatically like they are on the invoice tabs or as on option to the customized grid. With this feature on Claims Awaiting Submission, claims are less likely to get overlooked as the biller is waiting for the note to be completed before submitting the claim.

Please add the feature of the status of signed notes to the Claims Awaiting Submission

Claims being submitted to insurance should have completed, signed notes. Currently there is no way to filter for these notes in the Awaiting Submission tab -- you have to run a notes signature report and manually compare that report to the claims listed in the Awaiting Submission tab.

In order to be in compliance with insurance and industry guidelines notes should be signed by supervisors before claims are filed for therapists under supervision. Having the ability to stop the claims from being filed without going through a labor intensive and manual effort would be helpful. Thank you.

This would be incredibly helpful in managing a practice and staying in compliance. PLEASE assist with this!

given insurance requires progress notes to be completed typically within 24-hours of services rendered, makes sense documentation (e.g. progress notes) need to be completed, signed, and dated in order for claim to be submitted. Insurance audits could require monies paid if documentation requirement is not upheld so this feature helps mitigate potential clawbacks in this scenario.

We noticed that for certain Therapists, we can't submit claims until either diagnosis and/or progress note has been completed and signed off. We actually appreciate this feature and protocol as it ensures documentation is completed in a timely manner.
We have noticed for some of our Therapists, we can submit a claim even if there is no diagnosis entered and/or progress note has not been completed. This is less than ideal, so we are contacting you to inquire into how we can ensure this former protocol is in place for all our staff, for all of our clients. Thanks for considering our feedback
Jennifer.

Please prevent claims from being sent when the DOS progress note has not been signed by the provider.
Right now, we are unable to submit a claim is there is a missing note, but this feature would save a lot of time in running note signature report for billing.
We could 'check claims for error' and get an alert when there is not signature. -

When submitting claims, it would be great if the error check could include a linked progress note.

It would be great if the Agenda could show whether or not a claim has already been submitted (or added to awaiting submission). It would also be great if the system would flag unsigned notes so that claims are not billed before signed by a health care professional.

Is there a way theranest can allow a practice to create a rule or block invoices from being sent that does not have a progress note attached to it? I think this is a cool feature for those who values compliance. I imagine it would pop up like an error when claims are submitted like other issues preventing an invoice from being submitted (i.e. no client ID, or Florida not saying "Fl").

Currently the Create an Invoice feature is done via the Calendar. I remember asking about this early on, but I have several staff members now and it is more confusing than I anticipated. Not everyone grasps the importance of the Calendar right away and we have some court ordered people that cancel more frequently than average.
My Biller creates invoices or superbills for cash pay and sends claims to insurance. Recently, due to some staff forgetting to update the calendar, we accidentally billed a large amount. At least one therapist was over paid because we paid her for sessions that never happened. The clean up is still happening and it's expensive as I have to pay my Biller for her time to set everything straight.
Yes, I have stressed the importance of the calendar many times but I work with humans and mistakes do happen. However, it would be helpful if invoices were pulled from signed notes rather than the calendar. OR if it could be set up so that there would be a warning "Hey, there's no note tied to this session you're about to bill."
It seems like something that should already be there as a fraud safeguard, so if it is and I'm overlooking it, please correct me and point me in the right direction. I just don't want this frustrating and embarrassing mistake to happen again. Thank you!!!

I would love to have this option to incentivize my staff (and myself) to complete notes quickly.

I would like there to be an option to postpone the ability to upload claims to the clearing house until there is a signed progress note to go with it.

I really need to be able to set it so that only sessions that have progress notes can be billed. it's the only way to keep clinicians accountable for their progress notes.
