  1. Toggle between client initials and full name on calendar

    Allow me to quickly go back and forth from seeing the client's initials on the calendar to seeing their full name. I change it to initials when clients come in, but then want to see the full names when I check my schedule in between sessions.

  3. Don't send cancellation email if appointment has passed

    Sometimes an appointment may be cancelled verbally with a client, but I don't have a chance to update it in the system until the next day or two days later. When clients get the cancellation email, they get confused because they think it's for a future session (even though the appointment date is included).

  5. Acknowledge each practice chat message

    If we have a conversation thread in practice chat, each message gets marked (or checked) when I view it, even if I've really only viewed the most recent one and not the prior messages. Have it so we have to acknowledge each message individually so the sender knows if the message has been read or not.

  7. Allow option for gross deposits

    Gross deposits has been taken away, but I'd like to have this option available. I prefer one deposit that shows my income, and then a withdrawal to show my expenses.

  8. Create next appointment when filling out progress note

    When completing a progress note, have a field for "next appointment" and allow me to pick a date. Once the note is signed, have the appointment automatically created.

  9. Don't collect copays for certain CPT codes

    There are certain CPT codes we don't collect a copay for (e.g., EAP benefits). Have a way for TheraNest to remind me or prevent me (and my staff) for collecting a copay if the client has an appointment with a specific CPT code.

  10. Report on fields from intake fields

    Allow me to run a report that will display clients' responses to certain fields on my intake forms. For example, I may add additional demographic fields to an intake form and I'd like to run a report based on those fields.

  13. Add practice name to all email notifications I receive from TheraNest

    We have multiple TheraNest accounts and with some email notifications I receive (e.g. new practice chat messages, support messages) it doesn't specify which of my TheraNest accounts it applies to, so I have to log into each account just to find it.

  14. View client balance on appointment block

    Allow me to view the client's balance on the appointment block or have a separate box appear with this information when hovering over the appointment so I don't have to leave the calendar to view this information.

  15. Don't retroactively change diagnosis code if updated

    Don't retroactively change a diagnosis code on superbills and clinical documentation if a diagnosis code has been updated for a client. Currently, if a diagnosis code gets updated for a client it applies to past superbills and progress notes, but it should only apply to documents from the date it was changed and forward.

  16. Accessibility for people who are blind

    Make TheraNest, the client portal, and telehealth accessible for staff and clients who are blind or eyesight impaired and use a screen reader.

    We’re continuing to make accessibility improvements throughout TheraNest! When using a screen reader and adding or editing an appointment, the repeat event options will not be read if that option is disabled. Stay up to date with all the changes in TheraNest by checking out our changelog.

  17. Add a character count to appointment decline messages

    When a client requests an appointment via the client portal and I decline it, show me how many characters I can type in the decline message. The error message that comes up says my message is too long, but I'm not sure how long is too long.

  18. Change suicide verbiage on informed consent intake form

    Change the verbiage about suicide on the Informed Consent intake form. "Committed suicide" should be replaced with something like "died by suicide" or "completed suicide".
