Change state field to drop-down on client portal
When clients enter their address in the demographics fields on the client portal, have the state field be a drop-down field. When they type out their full state name it causes issues with claims.

If your organization’s country is listed as US, Mexico, or Canada, then state fields within the application or the client portal have been updated to a dropdown containing 2-letter abbreviations to reduce errors when mapping to claims. If your organization’s country is listed as something else, the free-text field remains.

Please either change the state field to only accept two letter abbreviations or make it a drop down that clients can select their state from. As it stands now, every time someone creates a client portal and spells out the state we have to change it to the abbreviation or claims get rejected.

When client enter data in client portal in state/territory it defaults to spelling the state out so it prints out and has to be manually fixed in order to use the billing feature or when printing CMS1500 forms. It would be much easier if the only entry allowed in that field on both the demographic page and the billing page was the abbreviation.

I agree that the only option should be the abbreviations so that the error doesn't occur.

When clients fill out their demographic and insurance information on the client portal it would be nice if the state was a drop down menu. Clients frequently spell out the state so then that gets flagged as an error when I submit to insurance and it just takes up time to go correct it in both of those places.
