Family account for Client Portal
Allow an individual to access multiple accounts under one client portal. I work with families and the parent should be able to access statements and appointment information for all members of their household by logging into one client portal account.

With the client’s contact network, one parent or guardian can have access to additional accounts under one login. Check out our release notes for more information!

We need to have a way for a family to access the portal for multiple family members. SO if the mother is bringing in three children to our practice for different reasons she can get forms etc. and pay bills for each child.

We have multiple clients that are part of the same family (siblings both see therapists in our office, parent & child both see different therapists, etc.) and it would be much easier for them to use the client portal if they could see all invoices and appointments by logging into one client portal account. We have one instance where three kids and one parent of the same family see providers in our office, so the parents have to come up with four different emails in order to see their accounts online. We have many families that are in a similar situation. It is quite an inconvenience and causes frustration for both the client and us. We would appreciate if this could be fixed ASAP.

Having a family portal option for parents that have siblings that are seeing a therapist.

When working with families where children are being seen, it would be helpful if parents could create accounts using the same email address. They are unable to utilize the same address if they have their own account and create an account on client portal for a child or if they have multiple children who need separate accounts, they are having to create new email accounts in order to have separate accounts.

I serve families with more than one child and the parents also get services. I think that it would be feasible if they could use the same email but have different usernames. Because it defeats the purpose of electronic medical records if I have to print out the intake for them to complete then scan it back in to the client's file. I love using Theranest but this is a headache for me.

Change the log in process in Client portal from an email to a username as I cannot have several children under the same email address which is difficult for parents. For example, I see 5 children for individual for one family. It is not feasible to expect this family have 5 different email address to use.

I have a family where I see both the mother and son individually. I can not have the son have a client portal because it said the mother already occupies that email address. Being able to link those two to the same email would be wonderful.

I work with children and several sibling sets. The client portal requires you to have different email for a sibling that has the same parent. For example I see a sibling set of 5 so that would require the parent to have 5 different emails, logins, and portals. It would be nice to have an alternative way for families to have access to different portals without so much hassle.

I also work with families and some of them are two household families where each household wants to be able to have a portal account for the same child. Having this feature would greatly improve my ability to communicate with the parents without having to create a test account for the other parent to sign up.

We need to allow the same email for a sibling group so the parent doesn't ave to give different email in order to have access fro each child. This is super inconvenient right now and most of this program is not family friendly. I really like theranest, but it's going to force me to look for a more family friendly platform because this is causing strife with my clients. And I need it to be hassle free for them.

Siblings have same parent(s) that live in same household. Parent(s) only have one email address. However, Theranest will not allow for same email address to be used for two people.

I usually have children and youths clients and I use the parent's email for communication and billing, if I have siblings, the app doesn't allow me to use the same email for 2 clients. Will be good if there is some way to identify that the client is a child and allow to use the same email for both accounts.

I work with kids, and at times, some are sibling pairs. When working specifically with two different siblings within one family unit, it would be so nice to have only one client portal login per parent/family group. But, I also understand that you guys have to be very delicate in figuring this out per HIPAA policies/regulations. Maybe, an option could be that they even have the same email, but each member has their own password, or they have to login with "special" passwords per client after logging in to the portal itself. So, if they click on one client, theranest will require a password, etc. But i don't know if that's just complicating it all the more. Thanks for all you guys do!

We sometimes see siblings with the same parent or guardian in our practice. It would be helpful if a parent could use one email address to setup client portal for all of the siblings.

Yes! I have several siblings and families I work with. Please figure out a way for parents to have an account for each child without having to use different emails. In addition, for divorced parents, please figure out a way to have one account for both parents. Working with kids and families, I'm finding TheraNest isn't always meeting my needs for appropriate record keeping and communication.

Allow families to use the same email address and billing information.

A "minor" flag would be great to have to help route the file into a guardian/family level of access in the case of multiple minors in treatment for ease of access for separated parents. Requiring one email per account creates more paperwork for family structures.

When working with families, it is so difficult to have each individual have their own email. Asking a parent for 3-4 emails for each kiddo/parent is a bit embarrassing. I love Theranest but I really hope this is something that can be worked on. I have had clients frustrated because of this.

For minor clients who have divorced parents, it would be good to have the option to share the client portal so that each parent can sign respective documents and have access to appts, etc. As of right now, only one parent is able to access and sign the informed consent digitally through the client portal, and we have to print, have sign, and upload if there are divorced parents on a case.
Thanks!

We have several child/adolescent clients for which their parent is the primary contact, and we need to be able to associate the same email address with multiple clients (siblings) if possible so that a client portal can be created for each client using just one parent's email address.
