Family account for Client Portal
Allow an individual to access multiple accounts under one client portal. I work with families and the parent should be able to access statements and appointment information for all members of their household by logging into one client portal account.

With the client’s contact network, one parent or guardian can have access to additional accounts under one login. Check out our release notes for more information!

I work mostly with teens but need a way for parents to pay through the portal. The client doesn't care about the portal but I need to keep their email as my contact but that means that I can't have parents access it without creating a login through the teen and then giving it to the parents. Very clunky and not compliant. We need a parent portal.

I work with two parents who are divorced and are involved in their child (my client's) life. I would love for them to be able to log into one portal account that they can create and schedule/complete intake paperwork/receive emails, but there is no option of having two emails for one client account. It would be nice to have the option of adding more than one email to the portal account to give two parental figures in this instance that opportunity to both be involved.

I work with families and minors. I often will work with multiple children and/or parents in the same family. Just like the pediatricians office, I would like Theranest to devise a way for parents to manage all of their child's accounts. Because they are minors, parents usually have a right to their child's information and records. Most parents only have one email address, so it would help if they could log in and have access to all of their children's accounts in one place. After all, it's the parent who is paying for the children.

I work frequently with minors as well. In some cases, I work with multiple children in the same family. In pediatrician's offices, typically they have one client portal account but can access each of their child's information. Since they are minors, typically parents have the right to access their children's records. Many families do not have multiple email addresses, as well as trying to maintain multiple client portal accounts is a burden.

I would like to see Theranest find a way to allow a client portal to be created for each child in a family using one parent's email address. Managing the schedules of multiple children in multiple email accounts is more than most parents can do. As therapists, we have to have parents sign every piece of paper concerning their child so privacy is not a issues as parents must be involved anyway,

Allow the same email to be used to set up client portals for children under 18. Many therapist see sibling sets and parents get frustrated only being able to complete intake forms on one child and not the other.

I definitely think there is a need for families to be able to use 1 email address for a parent and child(ren). I understand there is concern for privacy, but for a minor client this all changes. We need to be able to have one parent have access to multiple clients if they have more than one child attending therapy. It would be nice having this option in the case of dependent clients as most young children do not have their own email addresses and therefore cannot set up a client portal or be sent intake forms if the parent is also a client.

I would love if you could register multiple clients under one email (i.e for minors). I see lots of families, and we really run into issues when they don't have enough emails for all of their kids to register them on the portal.

I see two kiddos from the same family household but mom is only able to create one client portal and we had to send the other Childs information to an alternate email so she can log on and complete her intake paperwork.

I would also like families to have the option of one account per family. I have many families where I see 2 or more of their children for Speech/Language Services. These families already have enough going on, without having to create and them remember 2 sets of login information.

I think it is imperative for TheraNest to allow one email address to be associated with multiple clients. I work with many families who have more than one child and it is important for the parents to be able to create a client portal for each child, but use their email address.

Therapynotes has the ability to add multiple accounts under one e-mail as many families attend counseling. Please consider this feature as high priority because it is impacting portal invite requests.

Please Please Please make this a thing! I work with many families that have multiple children and it's extremely difficult for me to make sure all paperwork is complete when one child has a portal and the other doesn't due to a parent only having one email. I really like the portal and my clients find it helpful but this is frustrating. I understand the HIPPA stuff around the reasoning but there has to be a way to link accounts for minors at least! Adults have the freedom to create another email if they need to but kids typically rely on their parents for this. It's also a factor of making therapy less stressful and cumbersome for parents not add stress to an already stressful situation. Please Please Please find a way!

I am new to theranest. This is one of the issues I am having as I am adapting to the program. I very much like the program and my clients appear to like the portal. However, I have several family members who are unable to access all the accounts. A family account would be so helpful.

Desperately need parents to be able to access multiple children and their personal accounts under the same email address. We need family account management as soon as possible.

Parents being able to log in with one master account then being able to access their different kids accounts would be much easier for our Parent clients. Currently the parents are having to create different emails and passwords, and when they have more than two children it becomes confusing for the parent to manage all the different accounts. Many schools now have a main account a parent can log in to access information then a drop down menu to switch between kids to see grades, add money to lunch accounts etc.

Just chiming in that I agree with everyone here... we need a way to work with families so that the process is streamlined and easy. Basically, we need a way for parents to schedule appointments and pay invoices without having multiple email addresses while at the same time being able to keep separate notes and appointment logs for each individual family member. Looking forward to when this one is solved! Thank you!

It would also be nice for divorced parents of the same client to both have access to information for their child rather than having to share login information in order to look at appointments/to reschedule online or pay online.

Agree with the sentiments and frustrations here re: making it easier for parents to manage sibling accounts.

I agree. Parents should be able to see billing but then we therapists need to be able to limit access to the clinical part, according to own own judgement and state law requirements.
A Theranest rep said they are keeping all the information separate, which means a parent would need multiple emails / portal logins, but billing / intake paperwork can be separate from clinical documentation.
