Block client requested appointment time in calendar until confirmed/declined
Automatically block off time on the calendar when a client requests a new appointment until you confirm or deny the request. As it is, multiple clients can request the same time.

I would love to be able to see requested times on the calendar and approve or decline from there.

Providing a message to a client who is requesting to schedule a time when another client has already requested the same time. This would be before the request has been confirmed. I often have 2 clients request the same time slot and have to deny one, if there was some way of notifying the client that a slot was already selected and pending confirmation, therefore they need to choose a different time that could be most helpful.

Good morning. I really like your calendar ability to sync with google and display, but when a patient request an appointment could you show the requested time in the actual calendar, I still have issues with allotted times in appointment requests so i often have to open an outside calendar to double check the appointment request time slot.
Also if there was a way for me to alter my calendar without changing the options for the patient portal that would be great as well.
I recently scheduled an appointment on a day off for myself and in the time that I did that I had other appointments requested for my day off. -

Adding our 2cents as this does need a boost. @Blake for the list .. (our comments and suggestions why)
1. Automatically block off time on the calendar when a client requests a new appointment until you confirm or deny the request. As it is, multiple clients can request the same time, which is unprofessional. (This would go hand in hand with a REQUEST much like the Camera Icon for telehealth this provides a visual que to anyone to address that request. )
2. Automatically sync the duration of the appointment with the service type offered. For example, a 45-min individual psychotherapy session would block off 45 minutes or you could set it to block off one hour for those of us who prefer a built in cushion between clients. (this is important alone just for insurance CMS 1500 forms to be accurate. If the insurance only will cover a 45 min session yet we have time on the form of 60 min that could cause a conflict later IF there were to be an audit)
3. Improve mobile browser functionality to allow for confirming appointments from your phone. Right now you cannot access that section. (App has a lot of updates needed)
4. Allow confirming and declining appointments from the calendar itself. When a requested appointment automatically blocks off the time (see suggestion 1 above) you should be able to click the appointment from the calendar to confirm or deny it. (This has one other MUST HAVE... ADMIN PRIVILEGES TO ACCEPT AND SCHEDULE. Right now this option puts all the responsibility on the providers and there is no back up, if they do not see a request, or forget it, a client may simply arrive thinking as the confirmation process is not adequate from the self scheduling system, and you have a bad client service as they arrive to an unconfirmed appointment and can not be seen. )
If I was to suggest a Priority patch/ update this is in my Top 3 To fix immediately.

When confirming or denying appointment requests you must have another window open looking at your calendar to see your calendar at the requested time. It would be convenient to be able to hover over the requested date and your calendar pops open for quick viewing. This would make it so much easier to confirm or deny the requested appointment. Otherwise I have to go in and actually reschedule it at another time and have to notify the client of the same.

This would be very useful as then I could see and respond to unconfirmed appointment requests quickly with a glance and a click/tap to respond while I am already in the calendar. This would eliminate the more cumbersome task of having to repeatedly click back and forth between the Unconfirmed Appointments layout and calendar layout for each unconfirmed appointment listed. This is the biggest pain point of my experience with Theranest. Thank you for posting this!

Calendar availability should switch to unavailable when a client requests an appointment instead of remaining available until the therapist confirms the appointment.

This is a HUGE problem at our office because counselors are in session during the day and a client may have booked an appointment and yet someone else calls the front office and can schedule in that same time since it is unconfirmed by the counselor. We have had many problems with this and one of the main reasons we started using theranest was for therabook and the ability for clients to schedule online!

When a patient schedules online the unconfirmed appointment only shows up to the provider for whom they scheduled with. None of our providers do their own scheduling. We would like a way for front desk staff to manage unconfirmed appointments. Right now we have to log in as the providers throughout the day to see if they have unconfirmed appointments that need to be processed.
