Send invoices, superbills, statements through Client Portal
Allow me to sent a client's superbills, statements, and invoices to the client portal where they can view and print them. Sending them through the portal would save me paper and ensure confidentiality.

Clients can now download and print invoices and superbills from the client portal! Check out our release notes for more information.
This release does not include statements. If you’d like your clients to also print statements from the client portal, please vote for this idea on our feedback forum: https://theranest.uservoice.com/forums/914047-theranest-client-portal/suggestions/44273907-allow-clients-to-print-statements-from-the-client

Are clients able to generate a superbill or statement through their client portal? I believe I saw an option for it in the past, but I do not see it anymore,

We absolutely need this. It's just so long to send all the superbills. Plus some people don't agree to receive them via email and we have to send paper copies.

Hello, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE enable access for clients to view and download their superbills from the client portal. It is time consuming to email them or print their superbill each time. SimplePractice has this feature available and saves my colleagues tons of time. To be honest I'm considering switching to SimplePractice this reason alone. Please advise.

Instead of e-mail superbill - why is there not an option to send the super bill through the secure portal? Right now it seems you have to download it as a pdf and upload it to a message.

Pretty please.

Please enable clients to view and download their superbills from the client portal. My colleague says that Simple Practice has this feature and it says her tons of time every month and means that she doesn't have to hire an admin assistant. The lack of this feature makes me want to switch to Simple Practice honestly. Can this be addressed?

Send statements to clients via Client Portal. Currently, one can only send statements via email or print. However, sending statements to a client's email does not comply with HIPAA. The most secure way to send statements electronically is through the client portal. It is not wise to send confidential documents over public email addresses.

Currently we can easily send a superbill to the client's email through 1 click. This creates risk for therapists for a HIPAA breach and lawsuit. The priority should be for the superbill to be send as an attachment in the client portal so clients have to log in to get it. It would be good to still have the option to send through email as some clients may prefer it and completed appropriate paperwork for therapists who have gone the extra mile to set this up with clients to support client autonomy regarding their privacy.

Nice feature to enable 'send monthly statements' to clients in their Client Portal.

Having Statement available through the Client Portal. Understand they can access Invoices, but it requires to print one at a time vs a Statement using a date range, etc.

I agree please add an option of sending superbills through the secure inbox.

This has been up since 2016.
I don't understand why we can have it sent via email which is not secure but not like other messages through the portal which is secure. -

It would be amazing if we could send the Superbill to the secure inbox within the portal instead of having to email it outside of Theranest. This way clients could log into their portal and retrieve the Superbill from their portal inbox.

Please!
You heavily advertise the "secure messaging" feature of the Client Portal. Why does, "I need to reschedule Thursday, what to you have on Wednesday?" need to be more secure than one's psychiatric diagnosis, treatment procedure and dates etc? This is the one feature that has had me researching changing platforms.
(I know that is a bit snippy. But this has been up and being requested for a while so my comments might get more aggressive the more time passes...)

Yes, it's very inconvenient to have to download the superbill and then re-attach it to a message in the portal. Seems counterintuitive to offer the portal but not have a straightforward way to just send billing and statements through the portal!! Such a pain!

I would like to be able to send a statement to my client's portals verses sending stsatments by e-mail to their unsecured e-mail address. I worry about the liability with sending statments to an unsecured e-mail. Additionally, I would hope that the client would get an email message "stating a new statement is in their portal, please access portal to view and pay."

Dustin Plattner commented
Yes, this needs to happen as current competitors offer this feature.
