Add chat functionality to telehealth sessions
When I'm in a telehealth session, allow me to chat with my client(s) so that if we lose audio I can help them troubleshoot.

Our new telehealth solution features an in-session chat! Click here for a video overview of the new solution.

I haven't read all the comments yet but this chat would be very helpful for those of us who do EMDR via telehealth. I could send the link for BLS via a secure chat box to the client as we are doing the session.

The Whiteboard function that Zoom has, to allow therapist and clients to write and draw on it in the video chat, I use this so much with kids in session.

Not sure if this fits your need. But you can send your client text messages in the reminder tab in client details.

I'd love to see chat open for clients to talk to their therapist

Please Add Text Messaging as a feature on the Telehealth. There are circumstances in which messaging is very helpful.
1. When the audio or visual is intermittently going out I would like to be able to send clients a quick message to instruct them on what to do.
2. With many sessions happening from home, sometimes privacy is needed. A messaging option will allow a client to communicate something that they may not be able to say out loud due to privacy concerns -

It would be nice to have a chat function within the telehealth video so when the voices go out, either therapist or client can send messages to one another about fixing the issue or work arounds.

In the telehealth I would love a chat feature. Sometimes the sound can be an issue so the chat would be great. However I have had multiple children or teens who would like to discuss something but a parent in nearby. The chat feature would allow us to talk without the fear of reprimand from parents. This option is available on Zoom, Google meet and other platforms.

I agree- I have had this happen twice today, and thinking it was because they were on a Mac? That is the only thing I could come up with, because it wasn't browser. They couldn't hear me, but I could see and hear them.

It would be helpful to have a realtime messaging option while on telehealth in case there are tech difficulties to be able to communicate what to do or if someone is going to be a bit late to the session...

I would really like a chat/message feature and audio sharing feature! Without them, I might have to switch to a different platform.

Adding 2 features: 1. add an in session chat box where we can message clients and vice versa, especially in group telehealth sessions. 2. add option where we can send a client a form through the video session.

It would be great to have a chat feature and possibly a few interactive on screen games available through the telehealth session so children can feel comfortable expressing certain things that they don't feel comfortable saying aloud while doing sessions from their home with others just outside or in the next room. A few interactive games can also help to keep the younger children engaged. Maybe something they can look forward to toward the end of session. Thank you!

It is a problem when audio cuts out and we can't make a plan together to hang up/restart etc.

This would be excellent. I have heard some clinicians are switching to google services because of this feature.
