Client authorization tracking by date and remaining sessions
Often we are given an authorization for a certain number of units and/or sessions and need to track how many units/sessions we have left to alert us to send in an authorization request. Allow me to set this up so that TheraNest can alert me when we reach a certain number of sessions left, so that I can call and get another auth.

Authorizations can now be created exactly how they are received from payers! When creating an authorization, you can now specify the start and end date, link service types, view authorization statuses when creating an appointment (if enabled), and track the authorization by units or sessions. A new report is available to help you track utilization of authorizations across all clients. Click the following link to learn more: https://theranest.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/11747874480148

commentedTHe new option of adding an authorization end date is helpful. However, my office would benefit from an option to enter the number of sessions authorized (example: 6) and for the system to count down the number of sessions used, and notify the provider when sessions/units have expired or one session/unit prior to expiration.

commentedWe are in Nevada and all of our Medicaid clients have a prior authorization required to obtain services. Is Theranest going to make some way of tracking all of these PA's? It would be nice to be able to run a report and get a list of every client where one is required and to see if one had been completed. I am currently trying to keep track of 9 therapists to make sure they are done but it is not an easy task. I appreciate when you put in auth end dates that was helpful but it just isn't enough. When I run a report by insurance type sometimes they do not all show up there. Probably because is done by CPT code.

commentedAbility to have multiple auths for one client.
Either a drop down in the Bill to & Ins tab to chose with auth to submit to for certain services.
Or a case assigned authorization (per case)

commentedThere is no field for "treatment max" - authorization is a different field so it is hard to track treatment max.

commentedAdd an option to set up a reminder of authorization end date, not just number of sessions.

commentedI actually need the reauthorization tracking attached to my notes not insurance. I have DFCS clients as well as insurance clients. The DFCS clients don't have have insurance tied to them. Also they are tracked by hours of service use - similar to 1 hour = 1 unit. I don't know if it throws off insurance tracking or not, so it would be nice to have both options. I just want to be able to track how many hours are being used from the note section of my clients from the moment I enter the client into the system.

commentedI agree with the other comments, we need to track authorizations by service type and date range for each, total units for each. We have clients that may have a separate auth and date range and limit for EACH discipline. It would also be helpful if on this tab (or whatever is being developed for this idea) to have a report feature that can be printed or exported to CSV/Excel like the others, so we can easily track and get renewals.

commentedHello, The new authorization tracker is nice. With providers who have multiple authorization codes for each client, it would be helpful to track each CPT code within the authorization period. For example, if I was allowed 1000 units of 97153, 50 units of 97155, 12 units of 97151, I could input each on the system and it would track them and show when each one is used. Thank you.

commentedPrior Authorization numbers and dates should be tracked just like insurances. For back billing purposes. When a claim is sent, the Prior Auth number attached to it would vary depending on the date of service. This would be helpful because we are now having issues with getting claims paid out for back billing or resending claims.

commentedset up to notify us when authorizations run out. Some people don't use all their authorized visits before their EFFECTIVE DATES run out.

commentedThis improvement really needs to contain begin and/or end date fields. We are contracted with one insurance that requires authorization after 20 sessions, and every 10 sessions thereafter, per calendar year. Currently this is difficult to track.

Alycia O'Connell commented All my authorizations have either a date limit or a amount limit but the only thing that theranes tracks is # of sessions and my authorizations did not work this way so it would be helpful to have an alert also for date an authorization expires and also a maximum dollar amount.

commentedPlease include authorization tab with authorization number, total units approved, units used, units left, and start and end date, and the units tracking must be to connect with billing. Units is totally different from the number of sessions. A session could use different amount of units, so it has to be NUMBER OF UNITS. Thanks for working on this.
