Enter clients as a couple or family
Allow me to enter clients as couples or families. I see mostly couples and I prefer not to split them up in TheraNest.

How is this not done yet? It is a daily problem.

I don't mind having both folks sign off on their own individual consent forms, so I like that feature, but it's complicated when I have a family case, because I like to see each member of the couple individually for an assessment session before meeting with them together. there's no way to have a progress note for that initial session because I don't want to hav two cases open. family "groups" are still treated as groups, meaning the people are attending the same appt but not otherwise connected in anyway. So I'm having to do two invoices, and mark on as zero.

To treat family appointments the same way we treat groups is ineffective and inefficient. I like the idea of getting to have both/all family members sign intake forms and have all family members receive a reminder email/text/etc. But then going into manage the family session after an appointment is a nightmare. multiple notes to write, multiple invoices to create (even though it was all managed under one of their accounts), multiple cases because they have an individual case and a family case when I am really only seeing them for family (although I do like the feature of being able to do an initial eval for both members of a couple, that is not always feasible for family therapy with a minor).

Yes, a way to send both parties the intake paperwork and only have to write one note, create one invoice. Treating it like it is a "group" is very time consuming.

and see them with the same telehealth link. I have so many "extra" clients eating into my total # allowed because of this limitation.

I work primarily with families, often divorced or separated and I am struggling! The system is great for individual therapy but does not work well for families or couples. With two or more adults involved they can't see or access scheduling, billing, receipts for payment, etc.

Please add a feature that allows the client portal to be sent to multiple email addresses for families/couples

This is definitely needed for families!! We have multiple children being seen by different therapist and their parents are unable to have access to the portal due to only one email allowed to be used for one account. Allowing the parents access would make our lives a whole lot easier.

A primary would have to be identified but if it can be a check box to show as a couple or family! That would even be wonderful:)

This makes it difficult when the couple would like to trade off using credit cards but the appt is linked to the other person. It also means that both partners don't receive appts notifications.

As an organization that works primarily in couples/marriage counseling it can be a bit unhelpful that we have to put our clients in separately to send them paperwork or information via the client portal (it just doubles the effort when it could make it more simply to put everything in one place). Also, since you do not have an unlimited amount of clients as a payment option we are constantly having to juggle archiving clients because we do not have the space for everyone we see to be put in individual. The long and short of my idea is, making a feature that allows couples to be included within the same file and allowing them both be primary clients in a single client file.

I made a couple a group but this means that I can't see them on the app in my calendar. otherwise, it has worked out well for note taking, sort of.

Adding as a couple has caused me to have to increase my plan since I have to make a couple as a new client. Please let me know if someone else has a better suggestion.

When you complete group note for the couple and their individual notes, it would be great if it would then show on the agenda as progress or group note signed. It would also be nice if it would show that invoice has been paid if one or the other in the group pays.

I have entered the "other person" in the preferred name area when my providers are seeing couples because you can only have one person on the claim form, so whomever initiated the counseling is the patient, and the spouse is in the preferred name as "& Bob", or "& Sally". The only problem is the name is now shown with the preferred name and this should change. PLEASE SHOW THE NAME WHEN SCHEDULING AND OTHER AS THE LEGAL NAME, NOT PREFERRED NAME. The code you use will indicate it is couples counseling, so it doesn't matter if you have one name. Also, you could use separate "cases" to show Individual therapy and Family therapy, perhaps and label them "Couples- Bob & Sally" but it can only be under the umbrella of one name.

We work with children, so it would be AMAZING if we could enter the kiddos information and have a quicker, more efficient way to see parents names, contact info, etc.
