Allow non-admin staff members to invite clients to client portal
Grant ability to invite client to client portal to non-admin users. Clients can only be invited from the client portal settings page, which is located under the Organization tab. As a result, only admins can invite new clients to the portal.
We’re excited to let you know this suggestion has been implemented! Today we released an update that expands staff permissions so that non-admin staff members can send client portal invitations to their clients. Staff members with adequate permissions will have the ability to send invitations from the Client Details page. Organization administrators can control which staff members have the ability to send invitations by editing their staff members’ permissions. To learn more about this release, you can visit our TheraNest Knowledge Base. https://help.theranest.com/en/articles/4540115-allow-staff-to-invite-clients-to-the-client-portal
Thanks for your feedback on this suggestion! If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to reach out to our support team at support@theranest.com.

Please make this happen quickly. This would remove a barrier in process for us.

This would be greatly appreciated, along with the ability to directly send intake "paperwork" to new clients directly.

This feature is so important to our flow and it needs to happen

This has been in the works since 2015??? That's when the first comment was posted. SimplePractice does this automatically. It absolutely needs to be a feature here.

This has been talked about for so long now. Any update on when it can be implemented? It's annoying for my staff to have to chase me down to invite clients to the portal when they could absolutely do that themselves.

I agree this would be a super helpful update just to take a little off the plate of the one person who is doing it. But, as a practice of 13 in 3 locations, I don't find it to be as daunting and overwhelming as mentioned by others. But always a plus to delegate tasks to others!

PLEASE!!!! I'm already overwhelmed with tasks. Thank you. :-)

Please add the ability for clinicians to invite a client to the client portal themselves, without involving admin or without giving the clinicians any admin privileges. Thanks!

Our office would like the option for having a button on the client's main page to "Invite to Client Portal" so that way clinicians or office staff do not have to bug admin every time they want to send a client portal invite.

This is a much needed feature in order to maintain security and privacy for the practice as well as ability for clinicians to invite their clients to the portal.

When will this feature be live. I remember voting for it back in May of 2018. As we grow, it's becoming increasingly difficult to send portal invitations for our 9 clinicians so far!!!

The client portal should be a permission given to all staff. This is a major problem that admin assistants can’t do and only Administration, some of whom never book appointments.

Any idea when this feature will be available? Thank you so much for continuing to upgrade TheraNest :-)

This is such a needed feature. I do not want my staff having access to the organization level/settings. I am praying you guys implement this asap!

Allow administrative staff (schedulers) permissions/access to send out intake forms to new clients as that is part of their scheduling job responsibilities without them having organizational access to everything else.

Please please make this change soon! The portal needs to be available at the Therapist permission level! I don’t want to be forced to give everyone Organization level permissions just to be able to use the portal!
-
Mary Ann Sokolowski commented
Yes! Please this makes things so difficult for our practice, and making the choice to open up admin vs doing it all myself/admin delays things and makes my therapists frustrated!

When is this planned update going to occur? There needs to be an option for therapists and other admin staff (not just the practice owners/admin) to access the settings tab under client portal and have access to the manage client section only so they can send out the client portal invites without having access to client portal subscriptions. They should also be able to access the intake forms tab under the client portal and be able to only print the forms, but not edit or change the order of them.

This is something that really has to change for group practices. I have an admin person that sets up new clients, but then has to email me so I can send out the invitation to the portal. This makes no sense and creates huge delays. The only way around it is to grant full organization access, but I don't need others to be able to see everyone's payroll, etc...

This is needed for staff to be able to provide the best care for their clients. Admins shouldn't be solely responsible for getting this information to clients.
