Have client portal availability separate from calendar availability
I would like to able to set my "availability" calendar preferences in the client portal separately from the availability in the calendar I use for myself. In other words, if I mark that I am only available on Wednesdays and Thursdays, clients can only schedule themselves then, but then if I want to make an exception and see a client outside of that, say, on a Monday, I cannot add it to my own calendar. I would like to have more freedom in scheduling myself than what I give to my clients.

Our new Advanced Availability feature is currently in Beta! This feature allows you to create availability blocks on the calendar to specify the services you are available for scheduling at specific times and locations. You can also allow clients to request appointments on the Client Portal during your available blocks.

I'd like to have the ability to create specific time slots that my clients can then choose from when self-scheduling, such as a 12 PM, 1:30 PM, 3 PM, 4:30 PM, etc.
As of now it's just a whole block of time they can choose from during my hours (12 to 8 PM). I block off 1.5 hours per session, so I cannot currently allow self scheduling, because someone could choose to schedule a session at 1 PM, which disables me from being able to schedule someone from 12-1:30 and 1:30-3:00 PM.
Also, on certain days I might need to block off time or limit the number of appointments, and on those days I'd like to be able to select, for example, a 3 PM, 4:30 PM, and 6 PM appointment for clients to select from and not have the whole day open.
Not sure if there is a current workaround for this, but any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

It would be very helpful to have available time slots. For example in our office one of the therapists sees clients for 75 minutes at a time. Having the calendar open for an entire day would allow a client to schedule online starting at any open time, but that could be in the middle of a previously open 75 minute slot. In order to be most efficient we can only use the online scheduling feature if we can pick the 75 minute slots that one can schedule. 2:30, 4:00, 5:30, etc. (not 3:30). Does that make sense?

Allow the therapist to create available appointment slots rather than times of availability. These appointment slots could be seen by clients on the portal. So, rather than showing on the client portal that I'm available from 12-3, it would show that I have a slot from 12-1, 1-2, or 2-3 and the client would have to choose one. This would greatly help a therapist maximize his/her time and fit more clients on the schedule.

I agree, clients have a difficult time navigating the calendar, what is available and what is not. Also, it is almost an invasion of my privacy to see the whole week schedule. I believe the above will work great, this is how square appointments works.

Yes yes yes! This is a huge problem for me. I often schedule makeups and emergency sessions outside my regular hours, but I don't want clients to be able to schedule outside my regular hours through the portal

Creating more autonomy, as the clinician, over listing open appointment dates and times? Currently, the client sees my availability based on how I edit my calendar on the TheraNest side. It would be preferred if my client didn’t see all of my calendar instead just a list of the day with the times available for that day. For example, 1/4/18; available times: 9A; 10A; 2P. The client would then be able to click on the open time preferred for them. Thank you!

I don't want to turn Portal settings off for my current clients, but when I'm running at maximum capacity and don't want to accept brand new clients, it would be ideal to turn off portal for brand new clients.

Allow therapists to add ad-hoc appointments that are outside their standard schedule, without changing their profile preferences in the client portal. This is especially important for accommodating temporary schedule changes around holidays, staff absences, etc.

I'm not sure if I missed this feature, but I'd like to be able to customize my availability for client self-scheduling through the portal. For example: my availability may change week by week and I would like to be able to mark "busy" times during my office hours.
Also, echoing what others have said. Uploading customized forms or making the "customized forms" more user friendly. As well as being able to send certain forms to certain clients. I'd also like clients to be able to sign each form separately acknowledging understanding of each policy.

As it stands, the client can schedule appointments for lengths of time that do not match those inherent to service types. For instance, a client can schedule appointments from the portal for 15 minutes or 3 hours, even though my services are only 60 or 75 minutes.
Additionally, I want to be able to have more control over when my clients are able to schedule. Right now there is too much freedom , even within the block of time I am listing myself as available from within my own portal. For instance, they should not be able to schedule with me during my breaks, or far in advance or after an existing appointment. Just because I work on a particular day of the week should not mean the client can schedule with me at any time during that day.

Allow different schedules for therabooks, versus the counselor scheduling. For example, I saw a client early when I normally don't have hours, and the calendar is telling me I can't add the appointment. I would not like to open it up for clients to do their own scheduling in off hours, but I would like to be able to schedule without the confines of the hours.
