Client authorization tracking by date and remaining sessions
Often we are given an authorization for a certain number of units and/or sessions and need to track how many units/sessions we have left to alert us to send in an authorization request. Allow me to set this up so that TheraNest can alert me when we reach a certain number of sessions left, so that I can call and get another auth.
Authorizations can now be created exactly how they are received from payers! When creating an authorization, you can now specify the start and end date, link service types, view authorization statuses when creating an appointment (if enabled), and track the authorization by units or sessions. A new report is available to help you track utilization of authorizations across all clients. Click the following link to learn more: https://theranest.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/11747874480148

Actually, not only should we have tracking for number of approved session, but sessions used , date of expiration , as well as a searchable feature for EAP based clients. This way we can run a report that shows all EAP clients so we can make sure we are billing properly and not losing revenue. A search by insurance would solve this as we can create a insurance company for each EAP provider and then be able to search for those.

Is there a way you can enter the authorization expiry date in the system and receive reminders?

We have an insurance company that allows 20 sessions per year before authorization is required, and thereafter, reauthorization is approved 10 sessions at a time. Currently there is a field to set a reauthorization reminder, which I use. It would be helpful to have a authorization expiration date field.

Number of units is tracked but we also have to have those units completed by a certain date. It would be good to be able to have a notification on that date of the end of the auth

We would love an alert that comes up attached to the next scheduled appointment (in the calendar) regarding those clients who are nearing the end of their authorized visits. So if number of authorized visits is 10, we would like an alert to come up at visit number 9 when we schedule visit number 9 stating that now is the time to get a reauthorization from the insurance company (before the authorized visits run out).

A unit tracking feature would be extremely helpful!

Many EAP plans have an expiration date. Currently there is only a authorization session reminder. Need to be able to enter in a expiration date for authorizations.

Being able to set a date so that we can actually receive an alert a day or two before expiration.

Yes, please, this is a MUST to track when units are exhausted or dates expiring for timely auth requests.

Also please develop it so that we can track the number of sessions per client (regardless of whether they need authorization).

An area to have authorization dates related to each service provided. This would be an awesome feature for agencies that work with medicaid and provide different services.

I have met on the phone with Matt from Theranest and he is developing this feature. I used to use Helper and their tracking was very good, then coming to Theranest and it is awful! My admins track all of our sessions and alert us when we have 2 left and then I track all of the dated auths . It works but with 400 clients (many with primary and secondary insurance) - it is very tedious.

Please include authorization tab with authorization number, total units approved, units used, units left, and start and end date, and the units tracking must be to connect with billing.

I think this would be a great feature as well. I was going to suggest something similar, with more of a date feature to alert me when my private pay client need to renew their financial agreement with me. Even just a general alert feature by date when you click on a client would be great.

Need to be alerted when a certain number have been used, not when all have been used. Takes time to submit reauthorization request and wait for response from insurance company.

Please have the option to enter a date as well. We have both scenarios with number of units allowed per contract and another contract is based of expiration date for the referral.

Suggested way - Next to or under Reauth counter add a place to enter date expiration and have a alert sent a day before expiration.
