Edit CMS 1500 form
Allow me to edit and save changes to the CSM 1500 claim forms. Some payers require certain options to be highlighted on the form in order for it to be processed. The only way to do this is to manually edit the claim after it's been denied and resubmit.

My previous medical record, Simple Practice, allowed a clinician to edit a claim before electronic submission. This is SOOOO needed in TheraNest due to the specifications and requirements that can vary between insurers and a practice with multiple disciplines and multiple services within each discipline. It is a task to have to print and mail a claim for a simple claim note in box 19. Honestly considering switching medical records for this convenience.

SimplePractice has this option and it vastly improves the revenue cycle. To have to download, print, and mail a corrected claim is a huge inconvenience and slows down claim (and secondary) correction/recoupment. I work as a biller for a number of clients (individual solo practices and groups) and the difference is very noticeable between successfully resubmitting claims/secondary claims in SimplePractice and in Theranest.

When I am working the Process Existing Invoices report and see that the wrong CPT code is listed, I should be able to click that claim and edit the CPT code WITHOUT leaving the report, entering the chart and editing, then having to run another Process Existing Invoices to pick up where I left off. Same goes for seeing and changing the POS. The system I left allowed this and processing claims WAS MUCH MORE EFFECIENT and user friendly.

Hi, can you please allow us access to edit the claim and save the info to then submit electronically. It is difficult to have to drop to paper because we have to send corrected claims.

Allow the option to fill in any specific box on CMS 1500 and still be able to submit the claim electronically. Some insurances require additional information to be placed in a specific box on the claim form. If the box is not one that TheraNest populates all of these claims must now be submitted through paper claims instead.

This is a great idea. Sometimes, I try to even submit a corrected claim and am not given the choice to add the original claim number because we cannot actually edit the claim. All we can do is edit and print after but this doesn't save the info for electronic claims. It would be very helpful to be able to edit the actual claim and save the info. Thank you.

Have Box 19 (loop 2300) fillable in TheraNest for claim submission.

I agree -- the billing processes within TheraNest are subpar at best. Adjusting CMS 1500 claim forms is common with other systems and necessary in a world where there are billing nuances with every payer.
