Improve usability and customization of Client Statements
The statement needs a total makeover. Some suggestions:
- Make balance due clearer to clients. Having 4 different totals at the bottom is confusing. Only need an outstanding patient responsibility total and an insurance total. The combination totals are not necessary.
- Filter statements by service date, not invoice date
- Include return address on client statement print outs
- Adding NPI and TaxID on client statements
- Add custom note field to statements

When printing a statement, it would be great to have an option to select PAYMENT NEEDED OR PAYMENT DUE button (in the custom grid section?). Maybe in bright red! As the statement looks so similar to a receipt - I would love to have an option to make it stand out as "this needs action " from the client.

In order to send just one statement that includes only invoices with dates of service insurance has already processed/paid on, add the ability to specifically include/exclude certain invoices from an overall account statement.

It would be great if there was a default statement note that could be changed on as needed on individual statements. Would save me a lot of cutting and pasting! We add a note every time about the service location (for insurance purposes) and also a billing contact if they have questions.

It would be great if we could customize the format of the Invoices and Superbills. We are an out-of-network provider so we need to include specific information on our Superbill to ensure that patients can submit their claim for reimbursement. Currently, admin have to copy & paste all the information on each superbill. It would be great if we could have a template that would automatically pull info such as Member ID, Group ID, relation to patient, subscriber DOB, client name, client DOB, etc.

We DEFINITELY want our invoices/billing statements to show...
Pay your bill online and insert link to pay online..
Payment plans: Please call (organization number) or email billing (add email address) to set one up for you.
As well as adding: Thank you from the staff at (name of company).
Adding the "Important Message From Our Billing Department" with the message that follows it, would be nice to have added onto it.

Statements and client invoices needs a fix. There is a real difficulty with date ranges creating complicated and confusing totals, and multiple totals for that matter. They look way too complicated and I spend a ton of time on this.

Please consider the choice to opt out of recording payment method on Superbills and Statements. Just the ability to CHOOSE whether to keep that notation or not. I don't want to have to change "Cash" to credit card or check when I process EVERY SINGLE INVOICE, because I don't care for TheraNest purposes, but it prints out on statements, forcing me to change it every time I process an invoice just so client doesn't see the wrong thing on a statement. It's useless information for us that causes more "clicking" while processing invoices. Thanks!

Major insurance company reps are now telling me they don't know what "Superbill" means. And they made up the term!
Can you just call them ITEMIZED INVOICES? Clients would settle down too. Many first timers think it means some kind of collection notice when they see it pop up on their phones. A majority of all TheraNest notices are opened on phones. Clients also think the therapist made up the term "superbill," and it's grating to them. Thanks!

Agree. Bookkeeping functionality and statements need a complete overhaul. Although its nice that you can export into quick books now, I need better functionality based on the high subscription rate for Theranest I don’t want to have to operate another software bill and keep track of financial records nor do I want to add additional expense to my practice..

I agree with Jaryn comment - I process around 1,000 invoice/claims a month and having to add this stuff manually is a hardship. At the very least, a due date which would be 15 days from Invoice dates or whatever your time-frame is.

I agree. I don't understand how statements hasn't been overhauled. The current statement feature is completely useless.

PLEASE! This would be huge for us. It would be a time saver and appear more professional than hand writing a note on specific statements.

It would be great if the return address would show on statements that need to be mailed

Include service descriptions on a statement and not just a CPT code.

The batch statements feature needs a total overhaul. We send out monthly patient statements and need to be able to batch them for print. What we need is just for the patient to see what they owe and as a running total. Ideally to further that we could differentiate what they owe as copay, deductible etc...but i realize that is now changing the ledger feature too. Each month we need to go all the way back to our oldest patient balance owed (12/2017) up to the current date for the statement to show their total balance. Some patients may have a personal balance from just June 2018 but if i print within the parameters of the last month it won't print a statement for them. Also, the "exclude ins and patients with zero balance" options do not work! I choose these and it still populates patients with credits and zero balances. Essentially I sift (through 900) and have to click to print each patient that actually has a balance in order to print their statement for them. So some patients get like 3 page statements that include everything from their patient history. It would be nice to basically batch the "ledger view statements" by patients that have a balance and print in that format. That format makes sense to our clients. They can see their dates, what insurance has paid and easily what they owe. But again I can't figure out a way to search them like that and print in mass. Thank you!!

Yes, please. I am getting more and more requests/needs to add Permanent information for either our business, Like a due date, Client Portal Log In link and Specific to a Patient's need to submitting either to their HSA/FSA or Secondary Ins (we do not bill Secondaries)

Allow for individualized messages attached to superbills. Many clients are confused about superbills and how they are used. An individualized message could assist with explaining that.

Yes! This is desperately needed - both for individual and batch statements.

Put a section on the statement to a client to add a note.

It would be helpful to be able to customize the statement by adding a due date (i.e. Due upon receipt, due within 30 days) or how to pay (i.e. Please mail checks to... pay online at... pay by phone... etc).
