Record additional payment methods from insurance companies
We have insurance companies who pay us with a virtual credit card however I am not able to enter a credit card under the new "Insurance Payment" classification.
Please add new payment type for insurance credit cards.

We have released a number of new payment methods for insurance payments (like check, credit/debit card, and EFT/ACH). For now, you can record all outside payments received from insurance payers with more detail than was possible before.

Insurance companies are now offering virtual credit cards as a solution for rapid reimbursement. There is no way to enter them on a ledger as an insurance credit card for processing. We have had to put them under clients with notes in the details that is is actually the insurance payment

Running as client payments is incredibly confusing to the patient and staff. Time consuming and the bottom line is NOT CORRECT!!

agree with all the rest of the comments. We were confused as to how best to run these and had no choice but to run them as client payments. I see we are not alone! Any help on this would be MUCH appreciated!
Thanks!

We need to be able to run E-payments for insurance company's more and more insurance company's are sending virtual cards to process. Right not we process them as client payments what a pain. I see here I am not the only one with this problem. I have called and left suggestions before about this and still nothing?

Thank you for all your hard work in addressing this problem. I too struggle with this as I have several clients' insurance companies pay with virtual credit card. I am using Square to keep this separate, but that is also not the best way. I prefer for this to be done through TN. But, in order to use TN, I must be able to run a credit card from an insurance company completely separate from client payments and client notifications (i.e. I do not want my client to be emailed when I've processed a payment from the insurance companies credit card).

Well, I WAS excited until I realized that I could not run the card through as an insurance payment. This is not very helpful as I still have to run the card as a client payment and it appear on the invoice that way. Please continue to update this so that we can run the insurance credit card payments through also.

Does Theranest automatically label the insurance payment ERA payment when processed through the Billing ERA tab?

Thank you!! I get debit cards for a few insurance companies and it is confusing since I have to run it as a client payment and then make a note that it was not. It is difficult to explain this to clients when they look at their statements.

This is a crucial fix! This is going to make for a nightmare at the beginning of the year when patient's are asking for statements for taxes and we are showing all these client payments that are actually insurance payments.

This is a critical update. It creates so much confusion for providers and clients. Clients are getting emails saying their credit card was charged, when it was actually an insurance payment.

Some insurance payers send payment via a QuikRemit Commercial VISA, which, at this time, can only be applied as a client payment. Enabling credit card payment for insurance will allow proper accounting of payments.
Thanks.

My patients are getting irritated with what their statement looks like when I have to process a "credit card" type payment from their INSURANCE. I have to enter it as a patient payment and then write all over the statement to try to make some sense out of what they are seeing. AND they get emails every time insurance makes a payment that way. It's increasing their anxiety! This can't be that difficult to program!

I have an insurance company that pays with a "credit card" by sending me a page with the information to do so. I have to enter it as a patient payment which totally confuses the patient, and me as well! I tried saving the statement as a pdf and moving the payments to the correct spot but it time consuming and frustrating to say the least. The insurance company is not going to stop using this method!

allow credit card processing for insurance payments
YOU HAVE DONE AN OUTSTANDING JOB ON THE RECENT MODIFICATIONS, ESPECIALLY THE ERA. Paramount sends their payments via a virtual credit card, but that can't be ran and applied to insurance payment in your system. thanks

We have some insurance companies that send us credit card payments. There is no way to enter this correctly. One example is USAA, they send what they call a "QuicRemit" which is a credit card image with a specific amount attached.

Our practice sometimes receives a fax from an insurance company with with a credit card number that we have to run in order to get paid by them. There is no option under "insurance payment" in the ledger for credit cards.
