More granular permission levels
Have TheraNest modify the permissions levels to be more granular so we can select specific functions the individual can perform rather than multiple functions activated under a single role.

I would like to be able to either customize the permission option more. I think being able to create a variety of positions within the company and give them the level of access that they need will be better. For example: The community mental health provider needs to be able to log in, access basic client information, make appointments, complete case notes and complete progress notes. They do not need the clients ss #, be able to make organization changes, submit billing, and do other duties that are reserved for executive and/or administrative office staff.

would like to be able to customize all the permissions as well as create further safeguards with respects to client deletions, note deletions and deletions of documents located within general and clinical sections.

I would like to see the available custom permission for staff. The availability to do custom permission would be helpful

I would like to see more flexibility on permissions in several areas, specifically in the therapist permissions. There is a lumped portion of Admin only permissions, and they don't need access to all those features, but may need some. One feature that is particularly frustrating is the inability for providers "resend intake forms" and "share new forms". Whenever a therapist needs an additional consent from another parent, or they have come to the one year mark and want to obtain the yearly consent forms, they need to contact the admin staff creating an extra step for everyone instead of doing it there and being done with it. Additionally we should also allow therapist to enter a clients new insurance information if a client comes directly to them, instead of them requiring the client to go talk to another person. Some of these limitations create a lot of extra steps when we can't decide which features should be available to which providers. To allow these two things for my therapists though, i would have to give them full administrative permission and that is just not feasible.

I have a biller who has biller access to TheraNest. I appreciate the limited nature of things available for her to see, but I have two issues:
1. She can see their intake forms, which I think should automatically be uploaded to clinical documents so that she does not have access to them, especially because the client details page has the information she needs on it already2. Important information she does not have access to is client diagnosis! Please make it so that client diagnosis is available to those doing billing. *this is the key for me

I NEED MY CLINICIANS TO HAVE BILLING PERMISSION SO THEY CAN ACCEPT PAYMENTS FOR THEIR CLIENTS, BUT I DON'T NEED (OR REALLY WANT) THEM TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE BILLING FOR OTHER CLINICIANS (OR THE ORGANIZATION AS A WHOLE). I WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE THIS AS AN OPTION - BILLING PERMISSIONS FOR THEIR CLIENTS ONLY.

It would be helpful to have a broader selection on what each staff member can or cannot access. For example, we do not have our therapists create a new case or create any custom forms. I would like these features to be disabled for my staff. Also, I have therapist accidentally archiving clients when they are not suppose to. I would also like to disable this feature for them so they do not archive any clients or cases.

Add the ability for therapist to add service location on their notes without giving them full billing privileges.

Break down staff permissions further from being able to see all service date dollar amount to none at all. In other words, there should be many more boxes to take away permissions to not allow staff to see income generated and to keep this more private for the practice.
Only having blanket boxes - 1 size fits all - seems to indicate that TheraNest is geared more towards individual practices.

In order for staff to be able to see one another's schedules, you have to uncheck the "can only view assigned clients" box. In doing this, it grants the staff member permission to run reports on missing progress notes, which is a supervisory issue, not a peer issue. This is a HUGE reason why I've keep it restricted, but it's creating room staffing issues, since you have to try to schedule a room to see if it's available. If the staff was also granted billing permission, they would be able to see how much another staff was billing. So, so wrong, for so many legal and ethical reasons.

Please, please, please fix the issues of therapists having the ability to bill and peruse the accounting features of the company (reports).
Example: I need all of my therapists to bill when they see clients; however, I have an employee who is keeping track of the amount the company is billing and receiving and she is demanding a raise. The reports need to be confidential.
Any help in this area is greatly appreciated!Lyndee

Front desk staff should be able to access the Bill To & Insurance Info tab to enter insurance data provided by clients. Right now the only way to do that is to grant Billing permission but that allows them to see the Billing tab which has a lot of sensitive information that is only appropriate for biller staff members. You can create a new Billing Scheduler permission if you need to control this as non-default behavior.

Limit access to notes by billing clerk, receptionists, and others who require higher levels of access to do payments, ledgers, scheduling, etc.
In order to maintain best business practices and HIPAA compliance it would be helpful if TheraNest would make it possible for system administrators to customize access fields for each employee instead of them being pre-grouped. For example: a biller does not need to have access to see the content of a note, just needs to see if it was completed. or not. -

It would be great if there was a setting in the permissions that would allow therapists to VIEW the billing info for their clients but not be able to make any changes. Like a view only setting.

It would be nice if therapists could have permission to enter a payment in a clients account but not make an invoice, apply it or have access to any of the other things under "Billing" permissions.

would it be possible to adjust permissions for staff to view all clients, while restricting access to other staff members' billing reports?

We have a Utilization Manager who needs access to insurance info and authorization reminders, but who doesn't need access to Ledger and Invoices/money matters. In addition, we need staff to be able to see Co-Pays but not Ledgers.

Yes, the permissions could be much improved. It doesn't make sense that you have to be a therapist and see notes in order to see custom forms on the client details page (not the clinical section) or to have administrative capabilities. We have an office manager who needs to have permissions to change organizational settings and add staff but this person has no need to see clinical information. This makes it difficult to comply with HIPAA.

We have multiple staff that enters basic data for new clients/intake. I can't allow them to enter any basic insurance/copay data without having access to ledger/company billed/paid amounts. However, we want therapists to collect copay and see copay amounts in their calendar. Currently moving over clients from one software to TheraNest (at aprox 250 clients to date).

I would like to see more flexibility in the staff permissions check list. While I like the lump options, for my office, those don't always work. For example:
My biller: I would like to be able to give her access to CPT codes or diagnostic codes and other vital parts of what goes on the claim so she can make sure everything is running smoothly.
Credit cards: I would like for my clinicians to be able to run credit cards for their clients at the time of service. RIght now in order to do that, I'd have to give them access to all billing, which would bog down their screens with things they don't need. It'd be nice to have them have the option to run payments.
I would like our administrative assistant to be able to accept credit cards, and run basic reports.
There are others, but those are just a few off the top of my head.
