    It would be helpful to monitor payroll by enabling an entry for staff pay rate by $$. For example, enter $16/hour at 80 hours for a pay period. Also, be able to setup payroll frequency. For example, default payroll to bi-weekly or the 1st and 15th, and label payroll period (eg., Period 6 of 26) for the year.
