  1. Select Insurance Write-Off by default when creating a new Write-Off

    When writing off ledger amounts would be great if "insurance write off" were default rather than "Client write off". We rarely write off client amounts so it means an extra click to select "Insurance write off"

    Insurance Write Off will now be selected by default when creating a write-off on a client’s ledger. Stay up to date with the latest changes in TheraNest by checking out our release notes!

  2. Add rendering provider NPI and supervising provider name and NPI to statements and superbills

    For a client to be able to file for out of network benefits, the statements and superbills need to have the rendering provider NPI listed and, if the therapist is an associate level therapist, the supervising provider's informaiton also needs to be on there. Please add these to the forms.

    The new client statements now include NPI for both rendering and billing providers.

    Display the method of payment for items on the client statement (cash, credit card, etc.)

    We’ve released an improvement to client statements. Now the description field also includes the payment method, clearly showing how a client or insurance payment was accepted.

  4. Stay on invoice after saving

    If I'm working in a client's invoice and click "save", have it stay on the invoice instead of taking me back to the ledger.

  5. Move "Claims" navigation link to top of sidebar navigation

    In the billing section, it automatically goes to Insurers page. It would be so helpful to not have to go down and click on claims every time I enter this section to do billing. Please move the Claims tab up ahead of the Insurers tab so that it automatically goes to Claims when you click on billing.

    We’re excited to let you know this feature has been released! Every claims grid now includes the option to show or hide a column containing Client IDs. Printed CSV/PDF downloads also include this column if it has been enabled.

  7. Add organization phone number to printed client statements

    I want my org phone number printed on client statements, so that my clients can call directly with any questions. This will speed up collections time and avoid client confusion.

    We’ve released an improvement that adds your organization’s phone number to printed client statements. This is populated by the organization’s Location phone number or the organization’s Send Payments To phone number.

  8. Rendering NPI on Superbill

    The rendering NPI # should show up on the Superbill in addition or instead of the clinician's Lic #. Insurance cos seem to only be concerned with Tax ID and NPI #'s. I know that the rendering NPI was added to the statements, but adding them to the Superbills would be great as these are sent to the insurance cos for OON reimbursement.

    We’ve released an update to printed client superbills so now the Rendering Provider NPI is displayed.

  9. Process Credit Cards in Batch Payment

    Create a way to accept credit card payment from multiple clients at once -- perhaps clients who already have their credit cards on file in TheraNest. This way we could accept payment from several clients in far less time at the end of the day.

  10. Display Invoice Numbers on Ledger

    It would be very helpful to be able to See the INVOICE number in the Ledger. Many clients send checks and reference invoice number only, not DOS and emails requesting information about a specific Invoice but no DOS. You have to look at every open invoice one at a time to find the invoice number - really painful.

    A new column for “Invoice Number” has been added to the Open Invoices and Fully Paid Invoices grids on client Ledgers.

  11. Show both client name and Bill To party name on client statements

    There is an issue for people who treat minors with the client statements. If the bill to is the parents name and you want to include superbill details on the statement form (this is easiest for many of my patients) then the actual child/ patient’s name doesn’t appear anywhere on the statement. This is needed for folks who submit out of network billing.

    We released an improvement that will show the Bill To name in the statement header, while also showing the client’s name in the footer (Client Info) section.

  12. Retain original payment & refund transactions in ledger/invoice

    Currently, when a credit card charge is refunded the original payment is deleted from ledger (for unapplied payment) or invoice (if applied payment). We want to keep a record of both (A) the original CC charge and (B) the refund. They should both appear as separate transactions.

    We’ve released a fix that will now allow you to save credit cards for first time payments in mobile web browsers.

  14. View if progress note is completed from batch invoicing

    When processing existing invoices from batch invoicing, allow me to view the status of the progress note associated with that appointment because we don't submit claims unless the progress note is completed.

    A badge will display the signature status of the linked progress note when creating new invoices or processing existing invoices from Batch Invoicing.

  16. Billing Info navigation

    In the space to put in my credit card for Theranest charges, it only says,"Billing Info," it does not specifically say, "For Theranest Charges." I am new to the system and it is taking a while to get comfortable with it. I was quickly trying to find how to add a credit card charge for a client I was finishing a session with. I accidentally came across this and put in her credit card and she got charged for my Theranest charges. Please change it to "Billing Info For Theranest Charges.

  17. Add invoice number to accepted claim tab

    Is there anyway to have the invoice number be added to the claims>accepted information?

    If you use Apex or Change Healthcare as your clearinghouse, the Invoice Number can now be added to your customized grid on the Accepted claim tab.

    Have ERAs come back into TN by payer as opposed to one big file with all payers.

    We have updated the Process Claim Payments (ERA) page for TheraNest users who have signed and agreed to the Terms and Services with Apex Clearinghouse. This update shows more information about your ERA payments and allows for increased accuracy with your ERA payment processing. This improvement also includes a customizable ERA grid that allows for dynamic searching within your ERAs. Use the search fields in the grid to filter ERAs by Payer, Client, Invoice Number and many other options.

  19. Remove auto-formatting from Co-Insurance Amount input

    If you enter in an amount for the co-insurance field, it automatically formats the number as if it was a dollar amount even though it's a percentage.

  20. Better Payer Name Matching in ERAs

    I have now set up multiples of the same Payer ID with different names. There is no way I can manually select names for some of the carriers, with over 500 Patients this is not a viable option.

    We have updated the Process Claim Payments (ERA) page for TheraNest for users who have signed and agreed to the Terms and Services with Apex clearinghouse. Customers using Apex as their clearinghouse now have an improved workflow for resolving ERA mismatches. Previously, ERA mismatches would have to be resolved one by one. Now, if a mismatch has been resolved for a client and the same client appears elsewhere in the ERA, the correct matching will automatically be applied to the rest of the mismatched instances.
