Enter clients as a couple or family
Allow me to enter clients as couples or families. I see mostly couples and I prefer not to split them up in TheraNest.

this is super-annoying. you can apply one note to all group members, but you can't apply one payment to all group members. for most couple's or family session, only one person pays for the session.

Just FYI everyone, you cant bill both clients as a couple to insurances, you can only bill the client who is identified with the diagnosis as to who is being seen. To bill both parties is considered fraud.

The last time I tried to enter a couple as a group it created a problem with billing since they would both be charged for the appointment. there is no way to include them both as one client without using fields that don't pertain to the true info (ie. using the middle name field to include the spouse or using a hashtag to separate souses in the first name field). I would much appreciate this feature being addressed or added.

Also, while you are creating this please add a feature so I can pull reports based on "couples" so we can know who and how many couples are being seen. Thank you!!!

It would be great if we could create a 1 client for a couple instead having to add 2 people and take up client space.

I too would appreciate having a group note go into each file. I think that would save TONS of TIME.

I highly suggest you create a different way of invoicing clients who are regularly attending appointments together. There should be a way to bill the couples together (rather than billing one patient within the couple). If I see one person within the couple, and I accept a payment, it should apply towards the couple as a whole.

When entering couples it also would be helpful to have an option to bill one or both.

We should be able to generate one statement from our practice for a family. We have several family members in therapy and we have to send multiple statements in one envelope and they have to do the math and mail in one check, then we have to apply that to multiple clients. We need to be able to consolidate info for families please.

Any idea when there will be a more couple/family friendly way to write notes for such client sitiuations?

Agreed. I would love to see something where we don't have to create an individual account / file for each person in the couple or the family. It would be easier if they could be as one.

I could see that this would be helpful for families. I don't want to have to create new accounts for each of the members of the family. Specially if it's a larger family.

It would be great to either be able to create a file for a family or couple instead of creating separate files for the members or have a feature that allows billing for a group, family, or couple. Invoicing becomes complicated for clients when you have to bill them each separately, which generally means you have to split the total fee and bill each of them half when you aren't charging insurance.

You can put them in as a group. It works well

I want to add my vote for also making this option available for a family. Usually insurance forms/billing statements all go to one person who is responsible for payment, but the clients may be either parent/s or child/ren and need to be separated for insurance purposes. Each may have a different diagnosis, code, also.

I agree! There needs to be a similar option for families as well.

I would like this feature as well especially for couples which I see alot of. I do couple treatment plans and it would save time if it worked like the group note instead having to copy for each client.

I believe you can do this within a group--have group notes and then under the clients in that group you can enter notes for each member of the group.

YES! YES! YES! Same holds true for families. It is very difficult to manage couples or families in the current system. It would be much simpler to be able to create a family based on family name and then have individual family members as clients within the family folder. The fact that this does not presently exists creates TONS of unnecessary duplication of effort. Big waste of time. Have suggested this several times, and am very anxious to see this change implemented.

I would also like a more streamlined version for the couples intake. I would like to be able to write one note and have it posted to both their charts. The same goes for group therapy.
