Allow Full Credit Information to be entered by client in Client Portal registration
Currently clients have the option of adding partial credit card information (no CVV) in the client portal when registering/completing intake paperwork. I'm hearing with Simple Practice, that client's can be required to enter full cc information (so that it could be charged for a no show) before coming for their first appointment. This feature would save so much time and effort up front so we are dealing with completing full credit card info. in the first session.
We cannot store the CVV code prior to charging the client’s cards for the first time – this would be a violation of PCI-Compliance. The storage of a CVV is not allowed by the Card Brands or by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI, DSS or PCI). Storage is not allowed in any format (electronically, encrypted, on paper, etc.). We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

When a client pays in the client portal, please save the credit card to the client file. This was a previous feature. The client now has to click one more button to save their card and they are not doing that. Our practice now has to track down clients on a weekly basis to get them to pay bills and to put a card on file, as this is our policy. If the credit card was automatically saved we could be charging them after each EOB.

The fact that clients can't add a CVC code for their cards in the portal is a massive pain. Clients will add a card, but then we can't actually charge it, and have to email or call them to get the CVC code anyway. It practically makes the feature useless because it necessitates all these extra steps. We may as well just call clients to get card info to begin with. There's gotta be a way for them to add that when adding card info, so we're not stuck with all this extra work.

Clients can log onto their accounts on the client portal to update billing information which is great, however, it does not require them to include the security code which is needed to process the payment. There needs to be a way for a client to include this information vs our center having to follow up each time this occurs.

Have clients enter the CVV when they manually enter their cc info. Otherwise, we can't bill!

I would love to be able to send a client a link to input their credit card information, including CVV that would automatically save into my account for processing.
