Allow group notes to be entered for all clients at one time
It would be helpful if we could enter in one note for everyone in the group, point/click to add the clients in the group (because it is different each time) and add specifics next to each person in the group if needed.

Yes please! Groups are so clunky to handle!

It is a breach of HIPAA to have all group member names appear on the group note. Please adjust to show / hide names accordingly!

WHAT!?! TheraNest has known since 2014 or earlier that their software is NOT HIPAA compliant when it comes to group notes and that it is NOT functional when it comes to entering group case notes? Shame on them! YOU REALLY NEED TO FIX THIS!

Yes, I completely agree with this suggestion. This would make group notes much more streamlined AND HIPAA-compliant.

I agree with everyone's suggestions--the group note portion needs to populate into every individual's note because trying to locate the group activity to match with the individual note is time-consuming, tedious and just odd, frankly.

Have the "apply to all group members" option for notes all the time, and not just once at the beginning.

Group notes, as it is, violates HIPAA and is not user-friendly. Because of this, we have to create an individual progress note for each group member, which is much more time consuming than it should be. Group notes should be able to use one general note and NOT show each individual in that group on the note! Lots of votes for this one already, please!

Sometimes, because of the way that the "save" button lands on my screen, I have to scroll down in order to see "save and apply to group members" and for the life of me I almost ALWAYS forget to scroll down and click the correct option. Once I have saved the note I can't go back and apply it to the other group members, so then a bunch of copying/pasting has to happen and it's so time consuming and cumbersome. Please allow us to apply the note to group members once it's been saved!

Thank you for posting this Angela - I made a call directly to theranest to request considering modification of this feature. It is problematic that the feature of group charting exists but does not meet privacy laws. Often in my practice, "ALL RECORDS" are requested for clients who use insurance for billing purposes. However we can not send group notes that have other client's name, date of birth, and medical chart record # on the group progress notes. Perhaps theranest can design a feature to "block out names" when they appear in other client's charts.

We also have several groups of unrelated people and it gets very confusing having everything so tied into each group member. You cannot close a client out of a group when they stop attending the group.. it closes the entire group.

Please give the option of broadcasting the group note to all members of the group from the actually group note instead of just an individual member's note. Otherwise....EXCELLENT SOFTWARE!!!

Or have the individual client's names dis-enabled as part of the notes or notes history, but still visible (but not as part of the charts) so we could potentially run attendance for instance. I don't know how this would be accomplished exactly, but as stated earlier, we cannot have client's names showing up on other people's charts.

When you click the Save button on a Progress Note, when typing up a note for a group member, all of a sudden the Apply Note to Group Members option is removed from the Save drop-down. I like to save my Progress Notes before I save and sign, and don't want to have to apply the note before I am completely finished with my write-up.

We run a lot of groups and need to document group sessions in each client's chart. The current group note lists all individuals in the group. but this can not be part of a client's chart since it violates the privacy of other clients in the group whose names are included in the group session note.
I suggest a group note where the group portion becomes the beginning of a progress note in each participant's chart, and then can be added to in order to document things that are relevant to each individual client in the group. As it stands now, I would have to use a regular progress not and copy and paste the group portion in to each person's individual note.
