Improve usability and customization of Client Statements
The statement needs a total makeover. Some suggestions:
- Make balance due clearer to clients. Having 4 different totals at the bottom is confusing. Only need an outstanding patient responsibility total and an insurance total. The combination totals are not necessary.
- Filter statements by service date, not invoice date
- Include return address on client statement print outs
- Adding NPI and TaxID on client statements
- Add custom note field to statements

I would LOVE to be able to add a comment to the statement we e-mail out each month. It would be great to be able to type something in before creating the PDF document. I would love to be able to add a personal message about particular bill, vacation announcement, methods of payment, etc.

No, just show on statement what is written off! We don’t need something else to do...

Hello -
We need a way to notify patients of deductible, coinsurance, terminated insurance, etc. This is something that could be done either by adding custom payment codes to indicate 'zero pays' or a way to add a custom message to a patient statement. -

Our clients get confused by two things on the current statement.
1) the way that the invoice date is really big and the service date is really small gets us lots of calls involving " I wasnt here that day". Honestly I dont even know what the invoice date is on there, its not useful information for the client.
2) Bolding "insurance + client balance" is terrible. We get overpayments and angry calls because its not very clear what the client owes at a glance. The statements in general are not readable and would do well with some way to customize (more checkboxes)

It would be helpful to have a section at the bottom of the invoice where you can type in a note.

Please change statements so they reflect balances based on invoices. They should show what payment was applied to which invoice. And which co-pay was for a particular date of service. The way they print now it is impossible to understand the math. They should look like the superbills which are great but only reflect a single invoice.

The ability to send a personal note included in billing-related forms when emailed to client. This way I can choose a custom message for individual clients or for a a group when I do batch invoicing or batch statements.

Agreed, we also would like it to say "payment due upon receipt" and "Thank you for your business" or at least have the ability to right our own.

I hope to add "payment due upon receipt" on the invoice.

When invoices/statements are emailed to patients, we should be able to write a custom message. all other platforms allow this, as well as other accounting and billing software.

It would be extremely helpful to be able to add payment terms and due date on the statement or invoice.

I also want to be able to include a message that shows the various payment options someone can use to make a payment.

Yes, it's very confusing!

When emailing invoices, we should be able to add a link to the client portal! We should also be able to write a note, like you're 10 days late pating etc.

It would be great if you could add a line to the bottom of statements with the balance due broken down into past due amounts (such as 30, 60, 90, and over 90 days due). This would make it easier to converse with clients about past due balances.

I need this too. As a workaround, I add a payment URL by adding a Send Payments to address, editing the Zip code field, adding several spaces to force a new line, then entering the url. It appears on the invoice below the payment address, and appears to be clickable on PDF invoices.

I agree with the comments below. The statements ARE confusing. The amount written off never shows up when printed. Not patient oriented...the "bottom line" should be what they are responsible for.
