Add client portal messages to contact log
When I get a message through the Client Portal secure messaging, allow me to add it to the contact log so I can keep a record of all communication in one place.

If you have the Therapist permission, you can now copy a message sent or received from Client Messaging to the contact log of a client’s case. Check out our release notes for more information.

YES YES YES!!!!! If it doesn't automatically download to the client file, then it would be great if we could turn it into a PDF and move it ourself. but, for the most secure, if the system would move it automatically, that would be fantastic!

I am new to Theranest and have a large forensic caseload. The majority of my clients attend a weekly group. They are required to submit homework on a weekly basis. I have told them to communicate with me directly through the portal to include turning in their homework and reporting treatment and supervision violations daily. I ABSOLUTELY NEED THREE THINGS...FIRST, FOR ALL PORTAL COMMUNICATION TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE CLIENTS FILES. SECOND, I NEED THE ABILITY TO FORWARD THE COMMUNICATION TO OTHER MEMBERS ON THEIR CONTAINMENT TEAM WITH WHOM THEY HAVE SIGNED RELEASES (I.E. PAROLE OFFICERS, LAWYERS, ETC.) . LASTLY, I NEED CONTACT INFORMATION OF ALL THE REFERRAL SOURCES TO BE EASILY ACCESSIBLE IN THE CLIENT'S FILE AND ATTENDANCE. OKAY...APPARENTLY NOT "LASTLY". THE ATTENDANCE REPORT FOR GROUPS IS LACKING IN CLARITY. WHEN I PRINT IT TO SEND TO SUPERVISION OFFICERS, I HAVE TO INCLUDE AN EXPLANATION AS TO HOW TO READ IT. THE CLIENT'S NAME, DATE OF GROUP, PRESENCE OR ABSENCE WOULD BE GREAT. THE PERCENTAGES ARE GREAT IN THE HYPOTHETICAL AND FOR OVERALL ATTENDANCE, BUT WHEN I NEED ATTENDANCE FOR ONE DATE...THE PERCENTAGES ARE VERY CONFUSING.

Without this feature, there is a lot of extra work when part of the communication has already been written in the message. Even in regular email I can copy and paste, but I'm unable to even do that with secure messaging, which makes it very difficult to document my communication with clients through this means.

It is necessary to have communication logged in a patient's file. It is not helpful to have secure messaging without it. Please address ASAP!

I’m a definite TH fan but this seems frankly silly that we can’t dump this stuff into clients’ charts or even print them. Like it’s an unaddressed bug or something, it’s so obvious. Come on guys. 🙂

That would be so awesome for my staff as well. It would also be nice if notes were added in billing areas that would be sent to the contact log as well.

Please add a way to upload secure messages to the client's contact log. If adding this feature is too challenging at the moment, please just add a way we can easily print or copy and paste the messages. The process of having to open and print each message to a pdf and then upload it takes a significant amount of time. I worry that the lack of this feature is making Theranest less competitive with other EHRs. I hope you can address this issue soon. There is a lot I like about Theranest, and I would like to stay with you. However, if this continues to be a issue, I will consider looking at other EHR options. Thank you!
