Attach files and multimedia files to clinical documentation
Allow me to attach files and multimedia files (photos, audio files, etc.) to my clinical documentation (progress notes, initial assessments, etc.).

Hi,
I was wondering if you could create a place to store electronic files during session notes instead of in Clinical Notes. It would be great to store genograms in the notes of the day it took place or be able to store a picture that a child drew in that day of session notes. Perhaps once you download the file to the daily notes, it would also be safed in the Clinical Notes so all the downloads could be together too. I think it would help with organization of notes. Thanks!

It would be helpful to upload word documents if practice is still not using the full online note feature. I agree that uploading to general documents helps, however, then you do have to search for matching notes and billing requires the verification of the note in general documents.
This would be a amazing feature - for example, you could also attach lab results.

just asked Cassie about this... it would be helpful to be able to cut and paste a photo (of diagram, image, checklist, etc,) into notes

please add a way to save a document under contact notes. I have to say "see under general documents" whereas it would be nice just to save document within the contact note. additionally even under the progress note as well so we can save handwritten work or assessments we completed in session with the progress notes versus typing "see under general documents"
I have asked for this previously.

Have the ability to have hand written notes taken during the session scanned and uploaded to the progress notes.

I would love to be able to attach an image to a specific progress note. Capturing diagrams, lists, even the written progress note - this would be of great help.

Simple Practice has this functionality...it's enough to make me want to switch JUST for this feature. PLEASE find a way to make it possible to add attachments to progress notes - audio files, photos, handwritten notes.

I would like to attach items to individual treatment notes that open with the note. Pictures. Children's therapy items that have been scanned in. Group handwritten notes.

I would like an option for the progress notes where there is a handwritten option....where we could "handwrite" a note on an ipad and then upload it to theranest. Or, make a feature like that in the app? The idea here is to be able to handwrite a short note in real time with a client and then quickly upload that to theranest before the next client arrives; this would save all this "after the fact" documenting that I am horrible at keeping up with. I already do some actual handwritten notes but then just have to re-copy in theranest....it's double work, but I want to be paperless in the long run and to kill 2 birds with one stone. Please help!!

Yes, agreed! This would be a wonderful and essential addition to the progress note. I am an art, play and sandtray therapist and I would use this feature for every note I write!

Allow picture upload option. For those of us who do Art and Sandtray therapy it is nice to be able to upload a copy of the work to client file.

Create a way to attach an upload to a progress note. For example, if a client brings in a handwritten note, or something of clinical importance, I'd like to be able to attach a document then and there instead of adding to clinical documents later. At the bottom of the box I'm typing in right now, there is an "Attach a File" link...that would be perfect within the progress note itself!

I agree. It would be very helpful to be able to attach a pdf to a particular session note or contact log note.

I would like to have a feature that allows me to take a picture of an drawing, painting, etc.. and have it inserted into my progress note. A mobile app option with the ability to take a pic would be great.

Yes please! I am also a play therapist and use the sandtray. I am getting a popup box when I upload the sandtray pics to clinical documents that says there is a max storage amount allowed. So at some point, I won't be able to upload any additional sandtray pics for that specific client. Would love to be able to attach it to the actual progress note.
