Add ability to show/hide Treatment Plan History in Progress Note
Currently, every treatment plan and update is pulled into a progress note, which, after a while, has started creating 10+ page notes!

TheraNest users with Administrative permissions can now edit the Progress Note template to hide specific sections/fields, including the Treatment Plan History. This is an organization-wide setting and cannot be customized per staff member.
With this new setting, you will be able to tailor our default Progress Note template to fit the unique needs of your practice. To make changes, go to Organization > Note Template.
You can learn more about this update here: https://help.theranest.com/en/articles/3270086-how-to-edit-the-progress-note-template

 Away
Good morning! I would like to make a request that when we update and sign a new treatment plan, that the most recent treatment plan is the only plan that is populated on treatment notes, discharge summary, etc. The entire history of the plan is not necessary to be duplicated in it's entirety. As we add goals or change goals to "completed", that is sufficient to demonstrate a history of what we have worked on. If we need to go back and look at past treatment plans, they are still available in the treatment plan section. It makes our notes and our discharge summaries very cumbersome and rather confusing if we need to print them out for another provider, especially with long-term clients whose treatment plans may have been updated several times. The only way we can see around this is to not sign the plans and then just keep changing the document, but I do not like this option. I think it is important to sign the plans just as we do treatment notes. I also think it is important to see the history of the plan, looking back, which we would not have if we always work in the same document.

commentedThis is another great option to reduce the length of progress notes. Again this suggestion is over 2 years old and needs attention ASAP!

commentedThis was suggested over 2 years ago and needs to be updated ASAP. When printing notes this makes it way too long and is costing our small practices a lot of money in paper and ink costs when we need to share our records. Also, if treatment goals are changed it is irrelevant to share old treatment plan goals when the note will only address current goals.

commenteddisabling treatment plan from printing on progress note as needed to decrease number of pages when being sent to a third party for insurance or court requested client record.

commentedHaving the treatment goals listed on the case notes is ideal, however there is simply no need for the goals AND objectives to be listed. This takes up to 3 pages of my case note before my session details even begins. For offices and individual therapist this is an incredible waste paper, ink/toner, and time in general (for those who continue to keep paper charts at this time.) Even in a electronic chart, no one wants to be required to scroll past three pages of objectvies before finding what you are looking for in case note. The objectives are present on the treatment plan, which as the therapist we can access from your great site and app! Thanks for your time and consideration. I'm very excited to see this issue resolved in the future. THANKS!

commentedOption to not have old treatment plans show up in present progress reports. It seems to waste a lot of space and paper when printed.

commentedYes! Was just typing up this suggestion. I have to submit each session notes for reimbursement from a scholarship I am a provider for, and they get pretty lengthy with too much irrelevant information. Please make this an option!

commentedCurrently, old treatment plans show up on session notes which takes up a lot space. It would be great if old treatment plans could not show up once a new one is created!

commentedI would be happy with the option to collapse the treatment plans. I like to reference them while writing the note, but once it's done there's no reason for it to be there.

commentedWhen we print out the notes for someone who has been coming for several years there are 3-4 pages of the goals (which most people do not need other than us). It also shows every time we go to put in notes. Just the most recent goal should be shown and the other goals should be able to be hidden in some way.

commentedOn my treatment plans there are the whole history of treatment plans, making client notes for ongoing clients sometimes 7 plus pages long. At the time a client is seen we are only working on current treatment plan. Can you please find a way to stop the history from going to the progress note.

commentedWe have the capability to print and access the treatment plan separately so please think about removing it from the progress notes template. It wastes a lot of paper when printed out.

commentedPlease make ONLY the current Treatment Plan visible to avoid scrolling down pages and pages to get to the actual note. The old ones are irrelevant at that point and need to be somehow archived to look back upon rather that on the current page.
