Keep Signature History in Progress Notes
I sometimes have to unsign progress notes in order to change the service location for secondary claims or re-submitting claims. When our therapists re-sign the notes it appears that they signed the note days, weeks, or even months after the appointment which causes them concerns about liability or audit issues. Why doesn't the note capture all signature activity history? Seems to me that when a note is unsigned a comment should be available to add to the date of unsigning and captured for the note history as well as the re-signing date. Set supervisor requirements per payer
Allow me to select what level of supervisory review a staff member may need based on the payer. For example, our supervisors only need to cosign all Medicaid documentation.

Automatically assign staff from client when new case is created
When I create a case for a client (either a group case or individual case), have the staff automatically pull from the assigned staff in the client profile so I don't have to add them individually again or remember who I need to add.

Prevent progress notes if no treatment plan on file
If a provider hasn't completed their initial assessment and/or treatment plan, then don't allow them to create a progress note. The assessment and/or treatment plan needs to be completed prior to the provider adding/creating progress notes for the client.

Don't automatically display pre-defined options when typing in mental status
When clicking into the mental status fields of a progress note, don't automatically display the pre-defined options. Sometimes I just want to enter text without seeing the pre-defined list I can insert.

When I get an email for a treatment plan review, include the client's initials so I know what client to look for when I login.

Create next appointment when filling out progress note
When completing a progress note, have a field for "next appointment" and allow me to pick a date. Once the note is signed, have the appointment automatically created.

Don't retroactively change diagnosis code if updated
Don't retroactively change a diagnosis code on superbills and clinical documentation if a diagnosis code has been updated for a client. Currently, if a diagnosis code gets updated for a client it applies to past superbills and progress notes, but it should only apply to documents from the date it was changed and forward.

I use my Apple Tablet to write notes with the draw-to-text tool. It would be great if we could use the handwriting to text tool directly in the app.

Edit treatment plans after they've been signed
Treatment plans should be editable once signed. For example, once a treatment plan is signed and I noticed an error I cannot go back in edit the document. Instead I have to create an entirely new treatment plan which is time consuming and unwarranted.

Assign staff to case when appointment is scheduled
Have the staff member automatically assigned to a client's case when the appointment is scheduled so that we don't have to add them manually and so it doesn't create a duplicate case when the staff creates a progress note.
