Allow two-way syncing with external calendars (Google, Apple, etc.)
Make it so you can enter appointments or events from an external calendar (Google, Apple, etc.) and then they automatically sync to your TheraNest calendar.

I recently trialed a program that allows you to enter an appointment on Google and it automatically adds it to the EHR software. It has limits that you can't move or delete it. I always enter on Google, and often forget to add it to Theranest calendar.

Saw comment that Google offers a HiPAA compliant G-Suite option now. Has TN checked.
This is a major inconvenience - only one way sync. Staff has to check google often to see about other meetings or personal appointments.

Very much need this. It’s offered by other EHR’s I’ve explored.

Tons of votes over a long period of time for two way calendar sync. Why is this not a priority for TN??

Google actually does offer a HIPAA-compliant G-Suite option now.

This is important for at least checking a therapist's availability against other external calendars, without duplicating efforts. Other competitors already allow 2-way syncing.

Will have to switch to an EHR with 2 way sync with my Google calendar if this won’t soon be an added feature. Any time frame on this?

Allow for two way google calendar sync and automatic syncing.

I've read several comments on this matter; some of which reference HIPAA - Google, in and of itself, is NOT HIPAA compliant - Google does read through calendar events, as well as emails in order to offer specific branded advertisements.
Some of us, myself included, have our own hosted clouds, which is becoming very popular in clinics around the country. I would love to be able to 2-way sync with my private encrypted calendar server, which uses the Davical (WebCal) protocol.

make it so that time slots on theranest are blocked/or "busy" when something is scheduled in other synced calendars

I disagree with anyone who says this is not a major must-have. While it might not be for them or those that work 8-9 hours a day at one office, for others- like us, it is imperative.

A note regarding this. TheraNest has to work things under HIPPA guidelines and partner practices in allowing changes to be made and access to their software. A new business partnership with Google would have to be made to enact two way communication and editing via Google calendars, this is another logistics and security conflict. This is why our clients do not get a "ical or google" calendar link.
Would this be a nice added feature yes... but not a major must have. The two way HIPPA street has to be paved first.

PLEASE make this update asap! I am a one-person operation and this has really been messing up appointments and causing me to lose business!

Same here. This is crucial for me.

This would be very helpful for me as well, as I use Google Calendar as a gathering place for the several schedules I need to keep.
I understand the potential problems with importing a session into Theranest from Google Calendar. I would be content with importing labeled blocks of time from Google Calendar to Theranest. While not ideal, I would be ok with updating imported blocks of time from how I enter it in Google Calendar to the appointment details.

PLEASE!!!! Theranest calendar is just not as integrated in my life for private practice scheduling and I need the 2 way syncing. I have no other suggestions.
