Wholeheartedly agree! Not only is it cumbersome the way it is (multiple notes, billing one member and adding zero to the rest to avoid warnings, etc.) but it disadvantages those who see families and couples because I have to keep upping my subscription.

Totally agree. A single note is required for a session in couples and the group note doesn't give enough options. I know that you can copy to all group members and it's in a case that's designated as a family so it's probably OK but it's a little weird to mention the partner on an individual note of the other partner. In formulating a new couple or family progress note. It could essentially be the same as it currently is but have a checklist of those attending (sometimes not all family members attend all sessions) and each would need their own mental status exam. The rest could stay the same. Agree with the joint billing of families/couples as well. Treatment plans as a couple would help to (although that would require having multiple members sign and yet kids don't need to sign so it couldn't just be all members)
