Apply batch write-offs to remaining balances due across different client ledgers
Add new feature that allows me to apply multiple write-offs in bulk to remaining balances due from a single page, instead of having to apply each one to individual invoices from separate ledgers. This would let me apply a batch of client or insurance write-offs for different clients.

Almost 6 years later - and it’s still an amazing idea!

There has to be a way for Theranest to allow bulk write offs ACROSS different clients. It is tedious and a gigantic waste of time to have to go into each client's ledger to do write offs (even if you can do "bulk" write offs of that client's multiple ledgers). We should have a report we can run of outstanding invoices where we can ALSO click through the list for any that we want to write off the balance (both insurance and client balances separately).

Yes please, as well as applying the copay, deductible, & coinsurance to the client amount owed as well. We still have to go back in each client ledger to see if the client amount was applied correctly.

If having automatic write offs would cause too many issues then we should have the ability to do BATCH write offs across multiple clients/invoices at once. It would be similar to loading the invoice aging report which ALREADY lists if the invoice is marked as paid, and shows insurance due amount and client due amount.
For those of us with contracted insurance rates, it's common to know that any invoice with (for example) $41.25 left due for insurance is completely paid and the rest needs to be written off. When I load this report I see almost 50 that could be written off with one click, but instead I have to go into each client and do it on their ledger.
PLEASE add the ability to select these invoices and do a BATCH WRITE OFF that can be done all at once, with multiple clients and invoices, instead of having to go into each individual client and do their invoices. This would save people SO MUCH TIME.

click click click click is it any wonder why there are literally STACKS of write-offs piling up and my books are NEVER correct? PLEASE ADD

We have 300 clients, which makes individual billing adjustments of any kind redundant and time-consuming. This feature would streamline the process. I would like the flexibility of selecting from a list, such as with batch payments.

Adjustments should be automatically programmed to subtract from the total charge based off the selected adjusted code ie CO45

This is such a huge time suck as a group practice owner. The existing functionality is there, it should be possible to make this happen!

This would be the best thing ever! It’s one of my biggest complaint of theranest and the MOST time consuming aspect.

Please address this feature improvement. The current method of doing these invoice by invoice for over 500 active clients is tedious and time consuming...could be so much easier and streamlined.

Yes, that is much needed or as Kate mentioned below, ideally TN should be able to automatically process/apply the write offs at the same time when processing the ERA payments since all of the ERA's reflect the insurance w/o amounts.
And if there are any accounting errors that need to be adjusted first for indiv claims such as if there are overpayments, then it can push through all the ones fine first. Then we can come back to do those manually, similar to how the claim fix works. We do not bill secondary insurances so having all of this applied in one step would be a huge time saver.

It would be so much simpler and a huge time save to be able to apply a write-off on the same page as applying a payment. I feel like double posting to have to post a payment, then go back to the same service and tell it to apply a write-off is just double work and WAY TOO MANY clicks to accomplish what could be such a simple task. If they were both options on the payment posting page then it could all be done in one step instead of multiple steps.
Even better would be for the system to automatically apply write-off amounts so that doesn't have to be done by hand for each individual payment we go in to apply manually.

If you could cone up with a way to auto apply the contractual adjustment for insurance claims along with the paid amount that would be SO wonderful! As it is I can auto apply the payment but still have to pull up each invoice to apply the adjustment/write off amount.

Problem: Ideally, I should be able to apply the insurance payment at the same time as adjusting off the remaining balance. Ex: If we charge Medicaid $85 for a service and they pay $65, I should be able to adjust off the $20 at the same time as applying the insurance payment and have it affect the outstanding balance.
Suggested solution: Since right now the "adjustments" only affect billing secondary insurances, you should add a radio button option: "Allow adjustment to affect the patient's balance." Then users can then select how the adjustment affects the patient based on the situation.
